Happy Monday Everyone!!

I hope y’all had a great 4th of July weekend!

Two weeks ago, Harry & I headed to Charleston to spend a week on the coast! We got back last Sunday, stayed home a couple of days, and headed to the lake to celebrate the 4th!

With that being said, I am just now recapping our week in Charleston!

We are so lucky in South Carolina, to have such a beautiful beach to go visit that is so close to home! There’s also so much to see and do in Charleston!

~

We left home on a Sunday to head to the coast! Ace was excited to be at the beach too!

We arrived mid- afternoon in the Isle of Palms and immediately changed into our bathing suits and hit the beach!

That evening, we went to the local Harris Teeter & Target to get some groceries and things for the week, then we called it a night early!

Monday morning, we woke up bright and early and we were on the beach! We stayed on the beach all day! We took a beach break mid- day and walked up to Coconut Joes & the shops on the Isle of Palms.

Monday evening, we had an Italian night at the house! Harry made dinner & we watched The Bachelor. It was the perfect way to end our first long day on the beach!

Tuesday morning, we were back on the beach! We would sit, read, listen to music, go for walks, talk to strangers, and just hang out! Typical beach behavior- being on island time!

Tuesday evening, we had dinner at Poe’s Tavern with our newlywed friends who live in Charleston, Nick & Mary Grace! We had the best time catching up with them! We were so in the moment talking and having a good time, that taking a picture didn’t even cross my mind!

Wednesday morning, we went to Magnolia Plantation & Gardens!

This place is so stunning!

After leaving the plantation, we went back to house, made lunch, and went to the beach for a bit!

That night, we had dinner at Coast in downtown Charleston! This was the BEST salmon that I have EVER had! Harry had swordfish!

Then, we walked around downtown for a bit. While walking, we discovered, The Dewberry Hotel. They have a rooftop area and oh my goodness.. THE VIEW!

It was so pretty to see Charleston from above!

On Thursday, we beached it the first half of the day!

Ace loves. loves. loves. the beach!! This dog loves life y’all!

Later that afternoon, we got ready and went out to do some shopping around The Towne Center in Mt. Pleasant!

 Next, we headed over to Sullivan’s Island. We went by the local Farmer’s Market. We sampled fresh fruit and bought a cookie to split! (We were heading to dinner across the street immediately after!)

We had dinner at a place on Sullivan’s Island called, Sullivan’s. On this particular night, I was craving fried shrimp! Lol give me all the shrimp, please! Harry had a seafood pasta dish.

We made it back to the house after dinner, right before sunset! Naturally, we took a walk on the beach to see the sunset. It was so beautiful! On this particular night, we both just felt so thankful & blessed. God’s beauty can really humble you!

Friday morning.. back to the beach! Are y’all seeing a trend yet? Lol! For the most part, we beach it all day and explore in the evenings!

Friday evening, we had dinner with our friends Chelsea S. & Scott, who also live in Charleston. Chelsea M. also came into town for the weekend! YAY!

We walked to dinner on the Isle of Palms to a place called Acme Cantina! I had crab cakes, others had shrimp & grits, and a couple of people had salmon! Everyone talked about how great their meal was! Definitely recommend!! (I’ve had their breakfast before too- sooo good!)

Again.. on this night, I think we were so in the moment catching up with each other, no photos were taken!

So on this particular night.. this big bruise happened. (I took this photo when we made it home from the beach.) We walked across the street to Coconut Joes after dinner Friday night and bam, I slipped going down the stairs. I had on a long flowy jumpsuit and it got caught underneath my sandal. Leave it to me to fall y’all!

Saturday, we all beached it together! Have I mentioned how great the weather was every. single. day. that we were there? We were so blessed!

Saturday night, we had dinner at a place on Shem Creek called, Mill Street Tavern. Their menu has a variety of options! Everyone’s meal looked yummy! The view was my favorite!

After dinner, we walked across the street to Tavern & Table! Such a cute/ fun place! (They also have good food! I’ve had it in the past!)

Sunday morning, we went for a final walk on the beach and headed home!

We had the BEST week!!
