Hello blog world!

Welcome back today for a bit of LIFE LATELY!
We are loving all things summer, so you’ll see some of that, plus some “firsts” around here, and just random bits of life lately!

Starting with a sweet summertime memory that also happened to be a “first” for the boys!

The boys very first lemonade stand!
This was SO much fun!

We made lemonade, baked cookies, set- up in the driveway, and had ourselves a day in the neighborhood!

Squeezing lemons, making memories 😉

There’s always that one coworker who likes to goof off, HA!

The boys Nana and great grandpa drove here from Clover to surprise the boys at their lemonade stand!

SO many neighbors came by to support!
It was truly a day that made me extra grateful for where we live.

We had fun chatting with our friends in the neighborhood and making new friends in the neighborhood!

Brewer had fun counting tips, lol!

Happy boy!

Our little flyer for the neighborhood social page 🙂

The boys raised $73 selling lemonade! They couldn’t wait to get to Target a couple days later to spend their money.

They left with a buggy full of stuff 😉
And that made for a very sweet, first lemonade stand!

Another fun summer memory was a family trip to Carowinds for Daddy’s day off work!
Side note: Carowinds has a deal where PreK passes for 3, 4, and 5 year olds are free with the purchase of an adult pass. Brewer and I did that deal this summer! Plus, Capers is free because he’s 2 and I get X amount of “bring a friend” days (aka Harry) with my adult pass.

Harry is not an adrenaline junkie hahah
He rode the second largest roller coaster in the park (his idea) while I waited with the kiddos followed by a family ride on the spinning balloons. I think he was ready for a much needed break from rides after that! Lol

However, the little boys and I are adrenaline junkies!

These boys hopped in line for everything they were tall enough for!
A great day was had!

We celebrated Father’s Day with a sweet & simple day: attending church, grillin’ at home, and playing in the yard!

The boys made their Daddy some sweet crafts at church!
Oh.. and they love him so much that they fought over who would go first to say a special Father’s Day blessing at the lunch table. 😉

A first for me… baking sourdough bread!

It’s not as easy as it looks but I had so much fun with it! I think it turned out alright for a first timer. 😉

Another first.. Brewer lost his first tooth!

Tooth fairy was not exactly prepared!
Earlier on this particular day, we left swim lessons, went to Strawberry Hill to have breakfast with Honey, and Brewer started complaining about his tooth hurting while eating a pancake.
This is when we realized he had a loose tooth. He was a little panicked but we could not have been in a sweeter place. Our waitress brought him chocolate ice-cream and the little old ladies sitting next to us, gave him some coins to keep.
Later that day, I was home taking a shower and Brewer brought me his tooth! I had no idea it would fall out that same day.
Thankfully some local shops in town came through with the little pillow and book!

Brewer was a little skeptical about the tooth fairy but now he’s a fan!
I’ve looked forward to this tradition with my kiddos.. leaving a glass of milk to see what color the tooth fairy’s wings are! And here we are, these moments are here in front of me. 🩵

Losing your first tooth is a big deal!

Other fun things we’ve been up to.. play dates with friends!

Swim lessons with our sweet friend, River

Church parking lot moments lol

Speaking of church.. Brewer loved VBS at our church this year and Capers loved the decorations. Capers wanted to stay and be a part of the fun each day! Soon little buddy, soon!

This is the summer before Brewer begins kindergarten and I wanted to do something memorable aside from our regular summer plans.
We loaded up the car and drove to Tweetsie Railroad for a day out with Thomas the Train!

This day was everything and more!

We rode rides (including a chairlift that was a little scary)

We went for a train ride and saw the western cowboys put on a fun show.

And dilly dallied all around Tweetsie!

The weather was perfect, the crowd was low, and it was just a fun family day that we will always remember!

Waving bye to Thomas 🥹

Goodness I loved this day and I love these boys!

Capers recently began receiving Dolly Parton books in the mail from her Imagination Library!
We got this book right around our Tweetsie Railroad trip which just felt perfect 🙂

Another special memory that’s been apart of “Life Lately” is seeing the new Toy Story movie!

Toy Story has always been a special part of our family! Brewer had a Toy Story party for his second birthday and both boys have been Woody for Halloween.

This was Capers first movie theatre experience and Honey came with us too!
Y’all.. this movie could not have been cuter!! It was nostalgic, it had a great message, and I just think everyone needs to see it.

We recently celebrated our buddy Tucker turning 5 at a party in the park!

I love being a boy mom. 💙

I’ve also been learning how to play Mahjong lately with my friend, Amanda! I knew how to play poker back in the day and I think that has helped me pick this skill up pretty quickly. Mahjong is a lot of suits and numbers like poker.

And that wraps up all things life lately!
I hope you all have a fabulous day!
