Hey, Hey!
Welcome to the blog today for a little 2 and a half update for our sweet baby!
That’s right.. Capers is officially 2 and a half this month. These sweet little years are so sacred as they learn and grow so much during this time.
Today’s blog post is all about what he’s been up to and doing these days!

Let’s jump right in!
We’re officially in all of our sunshine months and it’s so sweet having a toddler be-bopping around the yard.

Capers continues to be a mama’s boy through and through. We often joke that he is my mini me in boy form. He looks like me and acts a lot like me (from what my mom has told me) from my early years.

One of Capers’ favorite things is to be outside diggin’ in the dirt. I can often find him right here at the sandbox or checking out the garden.

..or in the playhouse! He’s always “cooking” in his little house.

He loves a park too!

Before we go any further, you can find things from the past few months, here:

And…

Capers favorite person is his brother, “BooWaa.”
They are besties and play, play, play- but they can also argue too! We’ve reached that stage. 🤪

Capers was a good sport this spring, attending all of Brewer’s t-ball games.

At first, he wanted to be on the field with the players but he got use to my “Mary Poppins” bag filled with all the entertainment things and he didn’t mind the sidelines.

Brewer’s #1 fan

I’m so lucky to be these sweet boy’s mama!

Capers is always down for a fun family outing.. whether we’re at the strawberry patch..

..or the zoo, etc! He loves a family day!

Capers remains my tender one. He is sensitive about a lot of things. One of those things is getting a hair cut. He usually cries when the haircut begins and he wants to be in my lap for his haircut. By the end, he’s all smiles.
At the most recent haircut, an older gentleman walked over and handed him $5 and said “I use to cry when I got my haircut too. You (& your brother) get a prize.”
We love this little old school barber shop.

Recently, we had a family day at Carowinds where we learned that Capers is an adrenaline junkie like his brother.

He wanted to ride all the things

He was all smiles

Capers loves his Daddy! Every day, he asks when he will be home from work. They love to be silly together.

Capers also LOVES the beach!

He has mentioned it quite a few times this summer!

We’re looking forward to being back there soon 😉

Capers lovessss his sweet friends too

He’s made the sweetest little friends at church, school, and with my mama friends + their sweet babies!

He calls them all by name and it’s precious.

He can certainly hang with Brewer and his friends too. Definition of little brother, lol.

One of the things we did to kick off summer was host our very first lemonade stand!

He was the little coworker that liked to have too much fun haha!

We went to Target to spend lemonade money. We let the boys pick out their own things and Capers wanted a mini plush Mickey Mouse AND Minnie Mouse! So sweet!

We’ve also been spending lots of time at Strawberry Hill after swim lessons this summer. Capers lovessss the big sand box and tractor.
Here’s a little video of him “racing” his brother at swim lessons. Our lessons lasted two weeks and this was Capers first time ever in swim lessons. He cried a lot in the beginning but with the help of Mrs. Melanie, he gained some confidence and the tears went away. So proud of this little fish! We’ll be back next year too 😉

Some other things Capers has loved so far this summer is feeding the duckies…

eating all the icecream (even in the rain!)

And just living his best summer life!

While big brother is at VBS this week, Capers and I are getting some one on one time. He was a joyful little breakfast date, LOL.
Have I mentioned we’re in our two era?! Ha!

We couldn’t love this little “cowboy” more. Which by the way, he’s still obsessed with farm animals.

More things Capers likes:
-Eating… all the time
-snacks on snacks on snacks
-he lovessss Danny Go!
-he remains a good sleeper although he’s a little silly and tries to run away while I’m getting him ready for bed
-he has a thing for carrying around TWO water bottles at all times
-He loves singing the ABC song

Things Capers does NOT like:
-he doesn’t like having his clothes changed
-he doesn’t like commercials while watching Danny Go, lollll
-he doesn’t like being told, no

We love our blonde hair, blue eyed boy big!
We recently had his 2 year heirloom portraits made. I’ll end today’s post with those 🙂

We will treasure that precious personality and these photos forever!
Have a great rest of your week! I will be back here next Wednesday 🙂
