July 4th week in IOP!

HelloOoOo!!

This blog post is all about our summer vacay!

This year, we were in IOP for the week of July 4th! It was a sun, sand, and water filled week that ended with fireworks, red, white, and blue!

We arrived at the ole family beach house on a Friday morning and settled in for the next 10ish days!

We unloaded the car, unpacked some groceries, and y’all.. look at all of the veggies we brought from the garden back home!!

We hit the beach for the rest of the afternoon/ evening

This video… When all you wanted was an apartment with your buddies and now this is your life. Haha!

Side note: Harry and I met at the office where I was a part time leasing agent in college

That night after dinner, we had ice-cream cones on the front porch. It’s a tradition at the beach!

Saturday morning, we went to breakfast at a cute little breakfast nook on IOP- Sea Biscuit Cafe

Everyone loves a happy waffle

Brewer brought along his little transformer on this beach trip. I always want to remember these little things!

Next, we hit the beach!

Happy boy!

And happy mama! These really are the days!

Harry made the best salmon over grits and corn for dinner!

Later that night Harry’s brother, his wife, and daughter arrived at the beach house to join us for the week ahead!

That made Sunday an exciting beach day with cousin GiGi

That evening, we had dinner at the house and had a chill evening enjoying each other’s company!

Fun side note.. when the kiddos went to bed at the night, the adults watched Shark Tank (with an adult beverage) Harry and I are so obsessed with that show HA!

These beach boys were up and at em’ Monday morning!

Love them!

I bought a new family cooler right before this trip. I thought it would be fun for trips, snack mom at the ball field, and any all American event 😉

I don’t have a link but it came from Marley Lily!

This baby lovesss the beach

All 3 of them really loved the beach!

During the boys nap time, I snuck in some alone time on the beach

I read the book, “You, Me, and Forever” this trip. It was light, fluffy, had a great plot.. just what I needed for a beach trip!

Monday evening, front porch hangin’ ❤️

Tuesday morning, back at the beach!

A beach set- up at it’s finest

That evening, we all went over to Sullivan’s Island

Brothers 💙

We had dinner at Mex 1- the highlight of this dinner were the kiddos Shirley Temple drinks that came with sharks 🙂

After dinner, we went to a cute little pirate themed playground to let the kids play

Then back to the house for a walk on the beach… and a few pictures since everyone was dressed nicely!

Wednesday was another fun day at the beach

Harry and I had a date night that evening. We went to Acme Cantina (a Cochran fav) on IOP, went to Target for a new pair of sunglasses, then drove back over to Sullivan’s for a walk on the beach!

We got this picture while we were at dinner and it made me so happy!

The sweetest cousins 🙂

Thursday! My sweet boys!

We went for a stroll down to a fav spot where we get to dolphin watch and this spot overlooks the Charleston bridge!

That evening, we had dinner at the house and the kids painted dinosaurs and butterflies.

Friday- bubbles on the beach!

and icecream 🙂

We were on the beach every single day this trip and we were beyond proud of these kiddos! A family behind us asked how old the kids were. I told them their ages were 5, 3, and 2. They said “that’s impressive! They’ve been going non stop.” They couldn’t believe how well they were doing on the beach ❤️

That evening, Harry and I had the kiddos

This boy is too cool

cousins are the best!

We spent the evening flying kites

These two 🤍

It was a great windy evening for kites

The sweetest memories with this little crew

Saturday morning, we woke up for our last beach day and to celebrate July 4th!

This was our second time being in IOP for July 4th and it’s always SO much fun!

We began the morning with the annual July 4th golf cart parade!

The kiddos collected candy and lots of little surprises being thrown during the parade

Then we spent the day on the beach! The fly over (see video) was incredible!! It felt like a humbling moment to live in this beautiful American land!

That evening we ate all American hot dogs for dinner, cleaned up, and got ready to head back to the beach for the firework show!

❤️

We truly had the best week with John, Rebekah, and Genevieve! Forever treasuring the memories we made together!

Fireworks time!

It was the perfect way to end our week of vacay!

The next morning we were home bound. I hope you all had a great July 4th week too!
