I am officially on summer break!!!

My summer break began last Monday at 11:30!

I met Harry for lunch at one of our favorite places in Spartanburg, Garners!

Tuesday was my first official FULL day of summer!

I spent the day in Clover! Ethan (brother), Sara (cousin), and I took PaPaw to lunch at our favorite local restaurant- The Grill! Technically, it’s called Clover Grill but if you’re from Clover, it’s better known as “The Grill.”

Wednesday, I was super lazy all day! We’ve had so much going on lately and I needed a day of nothing to do besides lay around and watch Netflix!

Since then, I have been waking up early, ready to tackle summer! I still plan to have some lazy, slow mornings (I mean, that’s what summer is all about right..??) but there are also some fun things I want/ need to accomplish this summer!

Here is my list:

Teach VIP Kid!! So recently, I began teaching English to Chinese students, online. I absolutely love it! I plan to do a lot of that this summer!

Home projects! So we moved into our house last summer and we are definitely settled but there are still some things I want to change and do differently around the house! I have those things in mind to work on this summer. A lot of the work will go down in the kitchen! lol (I can’t believe it’s been a year since we bought our house!)

Family time! Every summer, I am so thankful for a job that allows me to slow down and spend more time with family. We are still grieving the loss of my precious MeMe and family is so important to me. I’m excited to spend a lot of time with them this summer!

Girl Weekends! Ahh! These are my favorite!! I love my best friends so much and these type of weekends are just good for the soul! We laugh, talk about life, and have way too much fun! I always leave these weekends feeling refreshed!

Read! I’ve set a new goal for myself lately to read at least one book a month. Right now, I’m reading, It’s not supposed to be this way by Lisa TerKeurst. If you know of any light, fun, summer reads- send them my way!!

Beach! We will get away for a week later on this summer and spend time on the coast! #beachinnotteachin

Those are some of the highlights on my summer list! Of course, there are some more things I’m looking forward to this summer, such as, birthdays, weekend trips, getting reorganized, etc!
