Happy Tuesday sweet friends!!
Over the weekend, we escaped to the beach for a fall weekend getaway!
This trip was all Harry’s idea and I have to say, autumn by the beach may just be my new favorite thing!
This trip was honestly, just so wonderful!
The weather was AMAZING, the beach felt deserted at times, it was relaxing, and this trip was the perfect fall escape with my boys!
Today, I’m recapping all the details! This will be a post that I want to reread and relive the memories of months/ years from now!
We headed down to Isle of Palms Thursday evening in our pumpkin jammies (pictured above) while jamming to worship music!
There’s something special about pulling into the city after dark! The Charleston bridge and all the city lights were shining bright! So pretty!
The next morning, we were up bright and early! Brewer was ready for a walk around the island!
Fun fact about Brewer & a waffle: He does not like it if it’s cut in half or in small pieces. Lol! He wants an uncut waffle only!
He was happy as a clam to be in the cooler weather on the beach!
It wasn’t long before we were in our bathing suits back on the beach!
This cutie was in his happy place!
Brewer had a ball splashing in the ocean! He is literally obsessed!
He loved playing in the sand!
And of course, chasing the seagulls down the beach!
The little arm flap! Ahh. Just melt my heart!! He loves all of God’s creatures!
We love going for walks down the beach. Brewer loves the beach wagon and I can’t rave about it enough! It’s held up SO well and makes it through all of the thick sand without a problem! We’ve also used it a lot at home!
When at the family beach house, we go for walks to a bridge that leads over to IOP where we are! From there, we see dolphins in this water, the Cooper River Bridge, people fishing, and it’s just so peaceful right there!
While Brewer napped that afternoon, Harry & I took turns going down to the beach by ourselves! I took my prayer journal and spent time praying and talking to the Lord! There is truly nothing better than quiet time on the beach!
That night for dinner, we found local seafood at Paige’s Okra Grill and brought it back to the beach house! When at the beach right… SO YUM!
After dinner, we witnessed the most amazing sunset on the beach! A golden sunset makes my heart happy!
The sunset was truly incredible! And there’s nothing like crisp salt air and a light weight jacket on the beach in September!
I’m telling you, fall beach trips are heavenly!

Books before bedtime! Brewer LOVES books!
Saturday morning breakfast on the screened in porch! Muffin & banana!
Harry went to a local coffee shop each morning we were there to grab us coffee!
Then, it was time to head back out for another fun, fall, beach day!
When I say Brewer loves the water, I truly mean it!
He is a little fish in the water! SO happy!!
Such a beautiful fall Saturday!
I loved watching these 2 play together on the beach! Their bond is so special!!
It was a fall day filled with lots of fun in the sun!
I love this little baby angel so BIG!
My boys forever!!
During Brewer’s nap time, I started a new book, Class Mom! It’s a great fall read + it is hilarious!! My teacher heart has been pulled right in!
Oh hi, Nash! That’s right, the pup pups traveled to the beach house with us!
Late that afternoon, we went out and did some shopping!
This stroller is great for the beach and for traveling! We purchased it last summer because we knew we didn’t want to take our nice stroller to the beach and through the sand. Plus, this stroller takes up very little room!
We had BBQ take- out from Hometeam on Sullivan’s Island for dinner! Harry wanted to watch the SC college football game that night. BBQ & football just go together in the fall!
After dinner, we went for another sunset stroll! Look at this cutie!!
We are absolutely loving these fall, beach sunsets!
While we were walking on the beach, we saw a rocket go over the beach!! It was so cool and special because that is a first for all three of us!
Such a cool moment with our best little buddy! After we saw it, Brewer kept saying, “I saw, I saw!”
We will never forget that moment! It was a special way to end our fall weekend getaway!
After our walk on the beach, we went back to the beach house to watch college football! The next morning we got coffee once more and headed back to our house that’s all decorated for fall!
