Happy Monday!!!

This is the first Monday of February- the month of love! So, I thought the topic for Motivation Monday this month should be…

The Bible has a lot to say about love…

Take the Bible verse: 2 John 1:6 for example:

“Love means doing what God has commanded us, and He has commanded us to love one another.” 2 John 1:6

Read that again.

The Bible commands us to love one another.

We are all made in God’s image and we are called to love everyone!

I get the thought of, “but I can’t love this person after what they’ve done” etc. etc. etc…

I have learned though that you can still love people from afar. You don’t have to invite them into your life to love people, give them grace like Jesus does for us, & wish people the absolute best! Also, remind myself, “hurt people, hurt people.” Those people need love more than anything!

The Bible also commands us to do everything in love.

This means everything! When we go to work, when we hold the door for someone, when we interact with people throughout by day- do it all in love!

When we do things without the intention of love behind it, it’s meaningless. God commands us to do all things in love!

This is a great reminder for me too! Let’s be motivated today, this month, this year, etc. to remember our “why” behind things! It should be love!

Doesn’t it just feel great to love people?! ❤️
