Nash’s 1 Year Got Cha Day!

I can’t believe it’s been an entire year since we added Nash to our family!

April 6th, 2020, we drove to Virginia to get Nash!

We knew we were getting Nash very early on. We came across him when he was just a few days old. (Born February 6th, 2020) The breeder sent us photos of him, weekly. This is Nash at just 2 weeks old.

When we decided to get Nash, we didn’t know that Covid would be a thing when it was time to bring him home.

It was an interesting ride to VA because everything was closed due to Covid. I remember Harry needed to use the bathroom on the way there and it took us a while to find a place that would allow him to go inside! (Thanks CVS)

We made it home to Ace!!

Y’all have heard me say this before but we really wanted a second dog so that Ace would have a friend before we had a baby. I couldn’t imagine having a baby and Ace not understanding why the baby gets to leave the house & go places with us, yet Ace can’t always do that. So, a friend/ brother was needed for Ace!

Ace & Nash were not fast friends. Well, I take that back. Nash LOVED Ace from the very beginning but Ace didn’t always love Nash. It took him a bit to warm up.

It didn’t take long for Ace to start coming around! Now, they play together all the time.

Ace is still the alpha dog in charge and he lets Nash know when he’s had enough. lol

Nash is super playful! I didn’t think we would ever find a dog that could run as fast as Ace but Nash has no problem keeping up with his pace. He’s play, play, play.. all day long!

He loves to play, He loves attention. He loves treats- when we say the word, “treat” he jumps up & down!! lol it’s the cutest thing!

It took about 6ish months to get Nash fully potty trained/ house trained!

(In hindsight of Covid, we were home a lot to train Nash)

He still gets into little things in the house like paper that is left out.

His newest obsession has been all of the babies accessories: bibs, pacis, etc.

People often ask how the dogs are doing with the baby! They are both great with the baby! It’s like they know to be gentle. Nash just wants all of Brewer’s stuff!!

If I had to describe Nash’s personality, I would say “He dances to his own tune.” He totally lives in his own world. Ace will growl at him to show that he is still the alpha dog and sometimes, Nash will respect him and walk away. Other times, he will keep bothering him because he thinks he’s invincible lol! Plus Ace wouldn’t hurt a fly.

He’s been a sweet little addition to our family!

And a spunky little brother for Ace!

We quickly went from a family of 4…

…to a family of 5!

Aside from Nash wanting all of Brewer’s stuff, he’s handling it like a champ!

We love our Nash Bash!!!

Funny enough, we celebrate both dogs birthdays in the same week AND we celebrate their got cha days in the same week!
