It’s officially SUMMER time!!!!
Since my last “Life Lately” post, some things have changed and some things are exactly the same.
Here we go:
-I finished my second year of teaching! It was such a great year. You can read all about it here: A Picture Perfect Year
-This teacher and I went out to celebrate last weekend!!
-I survived my first semester of grad school. I had about a 3 week break before my summer classes started this past week. Speaking of grad school, Harry enrolled in grad school!! I’m so, so, proud of him and I can’t wait to see where this journey will lead him.
-I love doing life with him!
-I am officially on summer break from teaching so Harry took a week off work and we spent this past week in the Isle of Palms with his parents and his sister!
-We spent lots of time on the beach, ate lots of good seafood, and we spent time with some of our best friends who live there!
-There are MANY great places to eat at in Charleston but some of our favorites that we had this past week include:
- Fleet Landing– they have the best fried shrimp
- Hyman’s Seafood- their crab cakes… YUM!
- SOL Southwest Kitchen- amazing shrimp and grits
-Charleston never fails!
-I’ve mentioned before that Harry and I have been house searching. The house search remains the same for now. We have looked at many houses, many, MANY houses. House searching is exhausting. To be honest, I know I am picky but I have not had the “this is our home” feeling yet in any of the houses that we’ve looked at. We have sort of taken a step back from house searching. Harry and I are both in grad school and we feel like God may not be calling us to a house right now? Maybe the right house is not available yet? Maybe He will show us a different area to live in, where we are not currently looking? I’m not sure but I am sure that this is a part of God’s plan, for us to wait and be patient! Good things come to those who wait! I’ve also heard it said before, “When you stop looking, things start to fall into place.” We’ll see!
-One day, this will be us but for now, I mean we’re only 25, the unknown is kind of exciting!!
-Right now, we are excited for summer!! Summer means beach, lake, outdoors, more date nights, and time with family and friends!
Our summer list: All the Summer Feels
-We are currently looking forward to the weekend. Harry will be on a camping trip so that means..
I can’t wait for my college girls to be in the Upstate in a few days!!
Until next time,
Have a great week!!
