Goodbye 2022, Hello 2023!

Oh, what a year!!

It’s been another incredible year with our baby boy, Brewer!

This year has been filled with so many joyful moments watching Brewer’s personality blossom!

It’s been a year of excitement and new things. It’s also been a year filled with grief at times. Through it all though, the Lord is good and He has grown me through every experience this year!

I love recapping the year and reflecting on all the things with this annual blog post!

Here we go!

January

We kicked off 20222 by ringing in the new year at home! We had some amazing snow days in January. The biggest celebration was our sweet baby turning one! Brewer had a such a sweet, “wild one” birthday party followed by his first trip to the zoo!

February

Watch out! Cupid was on the loose this month. Brewer started walking!! Harry & I celebrated our 10th Valentines Day together! I hosted a Galentines Day for all of my local mommy friends! Harry & I also attended a fun mascaraed ball for his oldest brother, Robby & his wife Ashley!

This month was also filled with grief. I lost my Dad this month. It was heavy and it was hard. And at moments, it still is. The Lord is my strength though and He is where I find peace! Fly high, Dad! Until we meet again!

March

In March, we celebrated a Cochran wedding for Brooks & Mary Catherine! During my spring break this month, Brewer had his first trip to the Children’s museum. We also went to Falls Park in Greenville. It turned spring this month and we played in the rain and celebrated St. Patrick’s Day!

April

April was filled with lots of sunshine and outdoor fun! We celebrated another sweet Easter with Brewer and he met the Easter bunny for the first time! We had a fun day around SMC’s campus. Harry went to the Masters and Brewer & I watched from home in his little golf outfit, lol!

May

This month, we celebrated Cinco De Mayo, we took lots of walks to the cow cows, I celebrated my second Mother’s Day, we had a little spring getaway to IOP, we had a fun weekend for Memorial Day, and we celebrated another Cochran wedding for John Clark and Rebekah!!

June

All the summer fun!!! June was filled with lots of park visits (parks were our jam this summer), our first storytelling at the local Library, a trip to Strawberry Hill, play dates with our besties, and a trip back to IOP for a full week of vacay where we also celebrated Fathers Day for Harry!

July

The summer fun continued this month!! We celebrated July 4th, I turned 31 this month and we had a fun lake day, Brewer also went to the splash pad for the first time this month, and we took lots of trips to Harry’s old stomping grounds to let Brewer’s play on the football field!

August

August was a fun month! It included a fun girls night, we kicked off football season with the Panthers training camp, we went back to the beach with my family, and this month included all things back to school. Brewer came down with a little sickness this month. We also soaked up the last days of summer. Our backyard beach was a hit this summer!

September

September kicked off all of the fall fun!! We took a rainy day road trip on Labor Day and discovered the cutest pumpkin patch! We went to the Apple festival with Uncle William. We had a Charlie Brown great pumpkin night at home! And we had the best fall weekend getaway!

October

The fall fun continued! We discovered an apple orchard that is now a family favorite, Brewer had a fun Noah’s Ark Day, we took Brewer to his first football game, we went to the pumpkin patch, and Brewer made the cutest Woody for Halloween!

November

November was a month filled with celebrating my sister & her baby girl on the way, Thanksgiving fun, family photos, and all of the Christmas traditions began. We went to Disney on Ice, had our annual Jammy cocoa Christmas, and we saw Santa!!

December

My favorite month of the year included lots of traditions!! We also went to Tweetsie, celebrated Harry’s birthday on our town square, we had a fun anniversary weekend for year 7, Susie girl joined the fam, and all of Brewer’s truck obsession dreams came true this Christmas!

~

What a year! Thank you Jesus for being with us through the highs and lows!

And thank YOU for following along and being a part of our year! I love, love, love connecting with each of you and I’m so excited for you all to be a part of year 2023!

We are out of town for New Year’s Eve!!

*I’ll be back on the blog Monday, January 2nd for my first post of 2023!*
