It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! This is my favorite time of the year. Everyone is happy, everything is so pretty, there are lots of festive things to look forward to, and most importantly we are celebrating the birth of our Savior.
We spent this past weekend in operation Christmas mode decorating everything! There are a few reasons why I like to decorate early.
- It’s a lot of work and I want to enjoy it as long as I can.
- We enjoy pumpkins and fall for 3 months, so I think we can enjoy a Christmas tree longer than 3 weeks.
- I just LOVE it!!!
First things first, we needed a Christmas tree!
Decorating the Christmas tree was extra special this year! We got married last Christmas and we received so many wonderful ornaments as gifts. I also, started a tradition of collecting Christmas ornaments when we visit new places. When it was time to decorate the tree, so many sweet memories came to me as I hung each ornament. The tree topper was used on a tree at our wedding!

Thank you Kynslee’s Creations for my countdown to Christmas board 🙂

I have been on a mission to find stockings this year. I found Harry and I, these cute quilted stockings from Pottery Barn. I made Ace’s stocking 3 years ago!
Elf Hat 🙂
It’s the little things in life.
I love this shelf because it displays some of the things used at our wedding: snow globes, unity candle, champagne glasses, photos from our childhood at the bottom, and I still have my bouqet!
Shelf came from IKEA and I spray painted it gold (Thanks for the inspiration AnnaVee!!)
One more picture of my sweet Ace. He is getting in the cozy Christmas spirit too!!
I would have shown you outside decor but Christmas lights are not always fun to work with. Right after the outside lights were put up, a bulb went out. When one goes out, they all go out. I started turning into the Grinch after taking the lights back down and figuring out where we needed to fix a light. Needless say, those have been a process, I had to stop and remind myself that Christmas is not about silly iceicle lights anyway. Those are just for fun!! We almost have everything back up out there!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by! I hope you are getting in the Christmas spirit too. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! #truth
