Motivation Monday: Knowing your Self- Worth

1

Allow those words to really sink in for a minute!

“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14

God created you and I for a purpose.

I think it is so important for everyone to know their self worth in God.

I think sometimes, it is so easy to get caught up in the ways of the world and try to find our self- worth in the acceptance of the world. This can include finding self worth in a relationship, receiving the highest level of education, being named Miss America, or reaching whatever our highest goal in life may be.

While it is okay to have goals, all of these things will leave us feeling so empty, if we are trying to find our self worth in such worldly things.

The only one who can really make us feel complete is God, who is our creator and the one who made us in His image.

When we are walking close with God and allowing him to guide our path, we do not feel the need to seek the world for self worth. God reminds us each and every day how special and important we are. He also uses us in bigger ways than we could ever imagine when we are walking this life with Him.

I see it way too often, people who are trying to find fulfillment through worldly things and it never works. You actually feel even more empty once you achieve the worldly goal because you realize, “wow this does not bring eternal happiness.”

Living for the world also leads to a life of comparison and self- doubt. When we are walking with God, you won’t feel the need to compare your life to the other fabulous lives around you or doubt yourself because he reminds us, “You are fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Allow the one who created you to show you your self- worth! I motivate each of us to walk closer with God and let Him determine our self- worth, not the world.
