What. A. Year!
I am back on the blog today to recap 2023!
I love taking the slow days during the last week of the year to reflect on all of God’s blessings each year!
2023 has been an incredible year!
We began this year praying for another baby and ended the year with an answered prayer,
Capers Lynn Cochran!
We made LOTS of FUN memories in between with our Brew Bear and I’m so excited to recap all of the highlight moments!
I’m going to recap a bit from each month in today’s blog post!
Here we go…
January
We rang in the New Year for 2023 in Kiawah Island with family!
We celebrated this 2 year old with his, “TWO infinity & beyond” birthday party!
Natalie & I attended the Upstate Women’s Conference at our church. This event recharges my soul!
We celebrated Ace turning 10 with a trip to Brusters and the park to run & play! It just so happened to be the 100th day at school for Brewer- hence the Dalmatian attire! Lol
February
In February, we had some fun play dates with our besties!
We celebrated Valentines Day with take out dinner at home (our tradition) and making the house festive! We take our holidays serious!
We enjoyed lots of slow winter days here at home!
We also had a lot of nice weather days in February and ChicK Fil A dates at the park became a thing!
March
We welcomed the season of spring & planted lots of flowers outside!
We took a weekend getaway trip to the beach!
Brewer had his first big boy haircut!
My youngest brother (Uncle Ethan) stayed with us for a weekend and we took him around town to tour all of the local college campuses!
April
April was a big month! We took Brewer to Dollywood Easter weekend! The sweet thing is, we were actually pregnant but didn’t know it yet!
We celebrated Easter with family! Again, all while pregnant, we just didn’t know it yet! ❤
A few days after Easter, I got a positive pregnancy test and many prayers were answered! I surprised Harry with the news that night!
The next day, we shared the news with Brewer that he was going to be a big brother!
Thank you, Jesus!
May
In May, we celebrated Kandace & Whitt at their wedding on Cinco De Mayo!
I celebrated Mother’s Day with the one who made me a mommy first!
We had a fun Memorial Weekend!
We surprised everyone with a baby #2 announcement at the end of May!
June
We did all the fun summer things in June! We went to the splash pad back home in Clover!
We had lots of lake days!
Harry & I saw Lady Antebellum in concert!
We celebrated the news that we were having another BOY!!
July
In July, we headed to IOP for our summer family vacation!
Our Family of 3 takes on IOP.. 2023!
We also celebrated July 4th while we were at the beach this year!
I turned 32 in July and the theme this year was, “32 & due with baby #2!”
The Barbie movie launched on my birthday so of course I had to go see it with friends in our all pink attire!
August
Brewer finished up swim lessons for the summer!
It became a thing that Brewer liked going grocery shopping with Mama! Oh the stores will never be the same LOL
We celebrated all things back to school and football season with the Panthers training camp, family day here in town!
Brewer moved up to the 2K room with his friends at his weekday church program!
September
In September, we celebrated the start to the fall season! My favorite!!
We took a weekend family trip to Southport!
We did lots of our favorite fall traditions! Apple picking at Jeter Mountain Farm is one of them!
We had lots of nights at home in our pjs!! Can you say hello third trimester, haha!
October
October was a big month! We continued all the fall fun! We went to the pumpkin patch and Brewer helped pick a pumpkin straight off the vine!
We took “Brewer’s Big trip to Disney before becoming a Big Brother!” This was SO. MUCH FUN! Even at 30 weeks pregnant!

My sister hosted the sweetest baby sprinkle for baby boy!

Halloween night, I got to pull out the “Pooh Bear” costume again! Some of y’all may remember that I wore this exact same costume while pregnant with Brewer! This time around, we added our very own Tigger and Christopher Robin!
November
November 1st, we always begin decking the halls for Christmas! The Christmas season begins at midnight on Halloween for us! lol
We did lots of our “out of the house” Christmas things early this year! We knew once baby arrived, we wouldn’t be leaving the house much those first few weeks! We had so much fun on The Polar Express with Brewer!
We took our annual day trip to the Grove Park! We honeymooned here 8 years ago and have been back every year since! It’s been so special and fun getting to bring our kid(s) along too!
We hosted my family for Thanksgiving a few days prior to Thanksgiving. Here we have all of the cousins in the ball pit! We spent Thanksgiving day with Harry’s family!
December
On December 1st, God surprised us big time!
Capers Lynn Cochran was born at 4:18 pm on December 1st at 37 weeks! He decided he wasn’t missing out on all of the Christmas cheer this year! Our hearts have been over the moon full ever since he arrived!
32 & Dad of 2! This was a memorable birthday for Harry!

It has been the most magical month ever with Capers being here!
It was a Christmas to remember, that’s for sure!

Thank you Jesus for growing our family in your perfect timing!
We will always cherish bringing home a baby during the most wonderful time of year! We love our little Santa baby!
We entered 2023 as a family of 3 and we are entering 2024 as a family of 4!
We are so excited to experience all the seasons + holidays in the new year with our sweet Capers and continue getting to know him! He has an awesome big brother to lead the way!
