Hello blog friends!!!

It’s my first “This & That Thursday” post for 2024!

As always, I will use the following line- up to talk about a little bit of this and a little bit of that from our week! Sound fun? Yay!

These posts are truly some of my favorites! I love a random assortment of topics.

Okay, here we go:

Starting with…

Our Week: Well, let’s back up to the long weekend because that was pretty fun too!

My mom and my brother, Ethan came into town on Saturday. We went to the park near our house (Brewer’s idea) and we checked out a new brewery in town! It was so fun!

On Sunday, Harry’s parents came over and had lunch with us! That was fun too!

On Monday, Harry had the day off work for MLK day! We had a family fun day in Hendersonville. It is one of our favorite little towns! It was so fun to get out of the house for a bit and stroll the town!

Other than that, I’ve been enjoying the cold winter days this week with my two winter bears! I love that my boys were both born during cozy season!

Looking Forward to: Lots of things!

A year of “firsts” with Capers and experiencing all of the things as a family of 4! It’s going to be a fun year introducing Capers to lots of family traditions!

This little winter bear turns 3 soon! I’m looking forward to celebrating our boy and all of the things that make him so special. Gosh, I love him!

Currently dreading: There isn’t one thing that stands out at the moment. Sure, my house needs some attention. But I’m in mama heaven over here with a newborn and cherishing these last few days with my 2 year old before he turns 3.

Reminiscing On: I’ve been reminiscing on Brewer’s past 2 birthdays!

For Brewer’s first birthday party, we did winter “wild one” It fit the theme of his nursery and his first year, monthly photos! Plus Brewer really did and does love animals!

For Brewer’s second birthday party, we did “TWO infinity and beyond!” because he was and is Toy Story obsessed!! I love his sweet little love for Toy Story!

I love choosing themes for his parties that fit him! I really try to do the things that Brewer loves! I’m SO excited about this year’s party theme too!

Watching/ Reading: Let’s start with what I’m reading…

I started reading this book last summer but life happened and I never finished it. I remember really loving the book but I had forgotten important things about the characters, so I’m rereading it now from the beginning. Just like before, I’m loving it and really do plan to finish it this time! Lol. I’m going to try my best to meet the goal of reading one book a month this year!

The Bachelor starts back Monday night and of course I will be watching!! I’m SO excited for Joey’s season! I get excited about every new season but there are some seasons that seem more exciting than others. I have a feeling this season is going to be a great one! Joey is such a humble person and is the perfect pick for bachelor! If you saw him on Charity’s season then you know!

Listening to: Well this song puts me all in my feels…

Mama’s Boy by Heidi Ray!

With Brewer’s birthday coming up, it has me listening to this song on repeat. I love those sweet baby boys of mine!

What’s on the menu: I haven’t taken any photos of dinner this week! But we have had… salmon & veggies, spaghetti because that stays in rotation over here with a toddler, and tonight, I think we decided on “Friday Eve take- out!” Ha.

We brought out the Valentine decor two days ago and Brewer & I baked Valentine cookies!

I’m Loving: I’ve blogged before about the journals I keep for my boys! I keep a prayer journal where I write down prayers that I enjoy praying over their life. I also have…

“Letters to my son” books! I write down little memories and things that make me smile in these books! I’ve been writing in the “Letters to my son” books this week.

This weekend: We are riding into the birthday weekend!!! I can’t wait to celebrate our boy with his sweet little friends this weekend before his actual birthday on Tuesday!! 🥳🥳

Amen!! Children are a blessing from the Lord! Their innocence, sweetness, joy… it fills my cup. I know I’m in my best season of life with my own littles! Soaking it all in!
