Hello!!!!
I hope everyone is having a great fall, October week!
Today’s blog post is this month’s edition of, “Tell all Tuesday.”
I always pick fun, random topics to talk about!
I’m so excited about this month’s topic because I’m talking all about….
CLOVER!

My sweet little hometown!
The town with love in the middle: c•love•r
Get it? Lol! But truly it is!
~
Y’all have heard me mention Clover a thousand times on my blog but I often get asked questions about it like… where is it located?
So today, I’m going to give y’all the inside scoop on where I grew up!

Clover is a small town in South Carolina located about 30 minutes south of Charlotte. It’s close to Fort Mill, Rock Hill, York, and Lake Wylie.
It’s exactly an hour drive from Spartanburg where I live now.
A quick google search tells me that the population is around 7,000 people.

Clover was a one stop light town when I was growing up. Now there are several stop lights.
People are often shocked to hear me say that there are not any interstates in Clover. Haha That’s true too! When traveling to Clover from Spartanburg, half of my ride is interstate and the second half is country back roads that lead to little ole Clover. So you have to drive quite a bit to get to the interstate.

I graduated high school with a little less than 400 people. That sounds like a big number for a small town, right? The Lake Wylie families attend Clover School District. That makes the numbers higher. There was only one high school when I was growing up. Now there is a second high school in progress that will be closer to Lake Wylie.

This is my best friend Kacy and I on our high school graduation day!
Places to eat in town:
Clover doesn’t have big chain restaurants for sit down dining. It’s more like little family owned diners.

Eagles Nest
(Clover’s mascot is the Clover Blue Eagles)

Victoria’s Diner

Clover Grill was owned by my best friends family! Now they are located closer to York and it’s called, “The Grill.”

One year in high school, The Grill stayed open after hours just to host a birthday dinner for me! I’ll never forget that!
Things to do:

You will pass lots of country land in Clover
We drove into Charlotte a lot when I was growing up for things like shopping, the movies, etc. We took full advantage of being close to the big city but coming back to the small cozy town!

I grew up in a small town so our Friday nights were the football games, a local restaurant, and a bonfire/ movies at someone’s house!
We love having a lake nearby too- Lake Wylie!
Clover has a small downtown area with small business shops!

It also has some cute local parks.

There is also “New Centre Park” that was not there when I was growing up but we love taking Brewer there now.

It has a splash pad, soccer fields, and they do events out there like movie nights in the park, Easter egg hunts, etc.
Fall Fun
Since we’re in the season of fall, let’s talk about the fun things to do that are local during the fall!

There’s Windy Hill Apple Orchard

Bush N Vine where you can pick your own pumpkin!

And there’s Blacks Peaches for fall festival fun!
What I love most about a small town is that everyone knows everyone and it just feels like “home!” I’ve lived in Spartanburg now for over a decade and while it’s home, Clover will always be home too!

It’s so nice to go back home and everyone welcomes you back into town!
And that is a little overview of the town with love in the middle!
*I’ll be back on the blog tomorrow!”
