Hey Friends!!
Today, I am recapping our memorial weekend! We loaded up the car and drove to IOP for a few days. It was chilly & rainy but very cozy! We came home Sunday night and celebrated actual Memorial Day here at home! 🙂
Here we go!

Thursday morning, we made a stop at Dunkin and we were on the road!

We arrived at the ole family beach house around lunch time! Harry’s parents were there and had a little gift waiting on Brewer!

He’s been very into trains lately so it kept him very entertained during rainy times, while we were inside!

After we arrived & got settled, we hit the beach!

The beach is so baby friendly! Brewer has so much room to run and he only goes to the edge of the water. I feel so much better being at the beach with a baby vs. other bodies of water! He’s for sure a little beach baby!

That night we ate dinner at our spot- Acme cantina on the island! Uncle William was also down at the beach and he came with us! Brewer loves “Uncle Wingam!”

Friday morning, we went for a beach walk!

Then the rain came, so we went to some local shops! We had fun shopping around and stopping in Barnes and Noble to look at books in the kiddie corner!

That night, we tried a new restaurant on the island with Harry’s parents and brother! It was called Islander 71.

The view was incredible!

Saturday, was rainy & very chilly! We spent the morning cozied up on the screened in porch, reading!

That afternoon, we went to the Charleston Children’s Museum for the very first time! Brewer loved the big ship!

And of course we found a tractor! 🙂
That night, we grabbed local shrimp & made low country boil with the fam for dinner, back at the house! That’s always a favorite when at the beach!

Sunday morning, the weather was clear! We spent the first half of the day back on the beach! Brewer chased the birds, chased some waves, and played in the sand!

That afternoon, we traveled home so we could celebrate Memorial Day in one place and not be on the road traveling, unpacking, etc!
We got home, unpacked, gave the dogs a bath, and called it a night!

The next morning, we woke up ready to celebrate Memorial Day at home!

The sunshine followed us home! We went for a wagon walk that morning!

Memorial Day calls for red watermelon!

And burgers & hotdogs on the grill!

We had a fun afternoon in the backyard while Brewer splashed in the pool!

It was a sweet weekend!
We are thankful for those who paid the ultimate price so that we can enjoy moments like this!
*I will be back on the blog, Friday!*
