This blog post feels surreal!

Brewer began PreK at our neighborhood school this week!

My favorite years in the traditional classroom were teaching 4K so this totally feels like a full circle moment with my own baby beginning 4K!

This school was a very prayed about decision and one that the Lord made us feel really great about.

One of the many reasons we feel so great about it is because our church preschool helped teach Brewer how to be a light for Jesus! For that, we are so grateful! He walked into 4K ready with lots of excitement!

Today, I’m blogging all about our “back to school” venture! ❤️

The night before preschool, we did some of Brewer’s favorites, including our trip to Strawberry Hill for ice-cream! This actually became a summertime fav of ours this year!

We made homemade pepperoni pizza for dinner, Brewer’s fav!

We set out Brewer’s things that evening. We’re still in our Toy Story era 🥹

We read our “Night Before Preschool” book

along with other sweet “back to school books.”

The next morning called for blue pancakes. We started this little tradition last year and it’s officially become our “back to school” tradition!

Psst.. those are actually the only photos I took the morning of “back to school.” Thankfully I took lots more (below) during meet the teacher a few days prior!

It was monsooning outside the morning of back to school! Absolutely pouring down rain!! I think it added to my “first day of 4K” emotions that morning too, mercy!

But in all, it was a great morning! I walked Brewer in and he took off like he had been going to school there for years. It made my mama heart happy. There were amazing school leaders (who we love) there to hug and encourage this emotional mama 😅

This event made me happy! It got me excited for the year that I know Brewer is going to have. 4K was a special age group to teach and I just know Brewer is going to have a special year!

I could feel the energy and this school already feels like home 🫶

let me catch you up on the rest of the fam: Capers is still in the nursery class at our sweet church preschool, I’m beginning year 11 of teaching, and the college where Harry works just hit record enrollment again for the new school year! 🥳

We’re an education family around here and we’re looking forward to the magic that a new school year brings to the air! ✨
