I’m back from vacay, it’s *officially* summer, and I have a brand new blog post!

Today’s post is titled “A bit of This & That.”

My line- up will be the same as before, (ie: this & that Thursday) the wording of the title just changed when I switched to blogging once a week!

Let’s dive into a bit of this & that, shall we! 😍

Starting with…

This week: We are home from vacay! We’ve been taking it easy so far this week: summer lovin’ in the backyard, a trip to the park, and we have some fun playdates with friends planned for the second half of this week! 🙂

Looking forward to: July 4th! This is one of my favorite holidays!! I would say it comes third following Christmas and Halloween. I love it because it’s summer, we’re outside, red white blue decor, and it’s just fun! Some of our best July 4ths have been right here at home and that’s where we’ll be this year: local/ home! ❤️

Currently Dreading: It’s summer and things are lowkey, so I’m not necessarily dreading anything. However, it is HOT! We’re reaching record temps in our area for the heat this week. Whew! Grateful for our favorite *shaded* park.

Reminiscing On: The beach!! Y’all this trip was so fun. This is the first summer that Capers has been walking so this year, I watched TWO boys playing and splashing on the beach. I’m going to recap it all tomorrow in a BONUS blog post for the week 😉

Watching/ Reading: The Parent Trap has been on repeat this summer! lol, Brewer thinks it’s hilarious so that movie has been on quite a few times when we’re inside cooling off in the evenings. For reading… I have not been consistent with my reading the past few months BUT I did start a new book while on vacay that I’m loving: “Say you’ll remember me” by Abby Jimenez.

Listening to: I’ve sorta been on a Kelsea Ballerini kick lately! I love her music. Country in the summer is always my jam.. I mean, country all year too but especially the summer!

What’s on the Menu: We came home from vacay to lots of veggies in the garden. I made a lemon shredded chicken orzo pasta with the veggies we grew! We had that the past two nights and Harry is grillin’ tonight. 🙂

I’m Loving: I’ll share a lot of things from vacay in tomorrow’s post but I am lovinggg this blue one piece swimsuit! I love the poppy blue color, the fit, the fabric, all of it!

Weekend Vibes: Harry has all of next week off work! He gets the week off for the 4th, so starting Friday at 1 pm, we will have another full week of summer together. We’re going to do some fun local things, see family, celebrate the 4th, etc!
