Capers: 18 Month Update!

Hey, Hey!

I’m back with a bonus blog post today…

Our sweet Capers is officially 18 months as of this week!

I’m blogging a little quarterly blog post with an update on all of Capers’ latest milestones + what he’s up to these days!

We could not love this little blonde hair, blue eyed cutie more if we tried.

Capers really is the definition of “baby brother”

He is sweet, fun, cuddly, and watches everything big brother does!

We had a lot of fun with him as a family of 4 this spring. We took a zoo trip!

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day

Read about those things, here: Spring Break Rewind

We also had a spring weekend getaway to IOP, our happy place!

You can read more about that, here: APRIL

Capers loves a good play date with friends like Annie Beth at the Children’s Museum. This water table is his favorite!

We love our sweet friend River, too! And a good swing! We’ve always said their names go together like two peas in a pod 🫶

I gave Capers his first haircut on the back porch

Scratch that… trim!

He did so good for his first haircut. The barbershop one day may be different… he still gets stranger danger!

He is vey happy and giggly if he knows you well. He’s very shy and tender if he does not know you.

Haha this photo just makes me laugh.. the poofy diaper.

Capers is pretty chill when we go out and about. He loves riding in the stroller or buggy! The car seat is a different story… he does not like to be buckled into the car seat but he’s fine once we’re in the car and moving.

I always want to treasure this… the garden is Capers happy spot in the yard! He crawls to it daily and picks up the windmill that Brewer brought home from school for the garden. 🫶

Picture day at their weekday church… wait for it..

Bless! I know I’ll look back and treasure this photo.

Capers was Brewer’s #1 fan at T-ball this season. He use to sit in the stroller and for the most part did great watching. Mid season at 17 months, he started walking. Then we were on the move at the ball field! That was fun too!

He was a late-ish walker but there’s no slowing down now. I love watching him wobble around outside 🩵

Capers was asleep when we met the Easter Bunny last year, so this was his first time really seeing the Easter Bunny. He’s still deciding his opinion.

We took the boys strawberry pickin’ with friends

Capers ate his way through the strawberry patch

He lovessss to eat and he eats A LOT! There’s not much that he won’t eat. Tacos are his absolute favorite.

He also likes to throw food when he decides he’s finished eating 😁

My baby 🩵

He loves his puppy brothers. He also loves giving them snacks.

My second Mother’s Day with two sweet boys.

Motherhood is sharing a cup of banana pudding on the floor with your baby.

Brewer is his best friend in the whole wide world. He looks up to Brewer so much! It makes my heart so happy seeing them play together so well.

These two are a dream come true 🩵🩵

The boys love their DaDa. They both love to climb on Harry and be silly. I love hearing the 3 of them giggle.

The outdoors is Capers happy place! Whether we are walking, playing in the backyard, or anything that involves the outdoors, Capers is happy!

He went through a phase where he would get fussy in the evenings. It was kinda like his witching hour but if we went outside, it was instant joy & happiness!

Capers, you have been the best addition to our family over the past 18 months and we’re so excited to continue making memories as a family of 4! 🩵🩵

More things that Capers likes:

-Playing in Brewer’s room

-Water fun: bath time, the pool, water table

-He still has an obsession with the dishwasher

-Sleeping! He’s always been a great sleeper

-He’s a mama’s boy through and through

-He says a few words: mama, dada, ace, Nash, hey, bye, and he has said “brew brew” & “outside” each a couple of times. He really likes to point & grunt 😜

-Oh, and he loves blowing kisses

More things Capers does not like:

-He does not like to be still for diaper and clothes changes.

-He has had quite a few ear infections since turning one. Those have not been fun for him. We are currently in the clear but making sure it stays that way!

We could not love our tender, sweet, sensitive, smiley, and outdoor loving baby boy more if we tried!

Let’s end this post with two videos:

Capers clapping at the Spartanburgers game

Capers pointing at planes is my favorite!

Y’all have a great Friday Eve/ weekend! I’ll see you back here next Wednesday!
