Happy Thursday, aka Friday Eve!
I’m back today with this month’s edition of, “This & That Thursday.”
It’s the first this & that post of 2025! As always, I’ll have the same line- up to chat a bit of this & a bit of that from our week.
Yay! I love these posts filled with all the random little things. Let’s begin:
This Week: Besides being in our weekly routine, we are party prepping this week for Brewer’s 4th birthday! I snapped this picture last night: Brewer counting all of his birthday bears we’ve built. We made the 4th one a little early so he and Capers could build bears at the same time! 🐻🐻🐻🐻
Looking forward to: See above! 🥳 Also, It looks like we may have more snow next week! If so, that would be amazing. We’re looking forward to seeing what happens with the winter storm on the way. Maybe nothing but maybe something!

Currently Dreading: Ya know those little punch list to- do items that need to be done but when? I have a list like that. I need to take a sweater (it’s a fav) to have a little hole sewn and I need to take a bracelet (another fav) with a broken latch to the jeweler. One day.. lol hopefully soon!
Reminiscing on: With a birthday on the horizon, I’m reminiscing on the day my first born came into the world! I love this sweet baby boy so much it hurts!
Watching/ Reading: I’m not really watching anything at the moment. I said this in an earlier blog post this month, but I’m picking up books I’ve started in the past but never finished and making it a goal to finish those this year. There’s a few! Plus, read lots of brand new books! The goal is one book a month! At the beginning of January, I picked “It starts with us” back up and I’m half way through! The sequel really is just as good as the first one, “It ends with us.” The second one is a lighter, fluffier, happy version!
Listening to: Not much of anything. I like the silence of January! This is a screenshot of my recent music on Apple Music: a little gospel, a little country, a little pop, and a little bit of Brewer’s music ❤️
What’s on the menu: I made a potato soup during the snow days this past weekend. That lasted a few days! We had that along with bacon & tomato grilled cheese sandwiches. We’ve also had salmon and a pasta dish!
I’m loving: Well, speaking of love, Valentine’s Day is a month away so I brought out all of the little Valentine pieces yesterday! The best part is seeing Brewer’s excitement, even for things so little! 🥰 We get excited for holidays!

This weekend: A week from today, our sweet Brewer turns 4! This weekend, we’re celebrating with Brewer’s friends and family! We are SO excited!! He has talked about this year’s party for so long!
Bible Verse: Isn’t it cool how Jesus says, He washes us white as snow? He brings peace to our lives. Peace is also something I think of when snow falls to the ground! It tends to silence everything else around. 🤍
