Before I get into today’s blog post, how was everyone’s weekend? We have soaked up lots of cozy time at home as a family this winter break! We did more of that this weekend + ventured out a little:

Friday, we went for a winter stroll at a cute park near our house!

Saturday, we were home most of the day before spending the evening with family!

Yesterday (Sunday) we had a little Sunday Funday afternoon in DT Hendersonville after church!

We had lunch at White Duck Taco (so yum!)

And had fun strolling around town!
We love Hendersonville so much and I love that this little nook of the mountains is so close to home for us! This outing also reminded me of our first big outing out of the house as a family of 4 last January. This is where we came! 🩵

I’m excited about today’s blog!
Today is my first “Motivation Monday” blog post for 2025. In this monthly post, I want to provide encouragement that is usually always faith based! Everyone can use some motivation on a Monday, right?
~
We just celebrated Christmas and during that time, we always hear the words “the reason for the season is Jesus.”
Those words are absolutely true! Even though the Christmas season has come to an end, I think it’s important to remember that Jesus is the reason in every season!
Christmas is a special time to celebrate Jesus’ birth and the gift that He is but it’s important to live like He is the ultimate gift all throughout the year, because He is.
Jesus can provide the warmth, peace, and joy all year long, not just Christmas when everything is decorated so beautifully.
All of this reminds me of a song I was listening to last Sunday during church, “I Speak Jesus.”
Here are some of the lyrics:
“I just wanna speak the name of Jesus
Over every heart and every mind
‘Cause I know there is peace within Your presence
I speak Jesus”
I’ll link the song, here: I Speak Jesus
~
This served as a reminder for me going into a new year, to speak the name of Jesus over everything, no matter what it is.
Speak Jesus over anything that comes your way this year: over your family, at work, in joy, in sorrow, in making decisions, in responding while angry, in chatting with neighbors, every person, everything. His name is power.
Every encounter is an opportunity to speak Jesus and show that He is a gift worth living for & celebrating, in every season!
It will also bring you peace when you choose to just speak Jesus. You’ll never go wrong or have regrets!
I hope this motivates us all!
He is worthy!
*Have an amazing Monday friends and I will be back here tomorrow with my first “Tell All Tuesday” blog post of the new year!*
