It’s the most ONEderful time of the year!

It’s most ONEderful time of year!

I will always cherish bringing our sweet Capers home during the magic wonder of the Christmas season!

His first birthday called for a merry little birthday party at “Capers’ Christmas Cottage” filled with Christmas jammies, family fun, treats, and a visit from Santa Claus himself!

His party was on Saturday and his birthday was on Sunday! I’m going to recap his party & how we spent his actual birthday!

But first, make sure you catch:

A merry little birthday & trip down memory lane that I blogged, here!

Come on into Capers’ Christmas Cottage!

First, details:

Invitations! (Of course certain info is hidden)

I love sending out invitations to parties. It just makes me happy ❤️

Welcome

Fun fact: Capers doesn’t like the high chair but he loves a bumbo seat or this little seat that can go on the kitchen island. For cake smash, I set his favorite seat up in front of the tree!

It really is the most ONEderful time of the year! Ahh! This theme is my favorite ✨

Funny story about his smash cake (on the left): I ordered the smallest cake they had at Ingles for the smash cake, expecting it to be half this size. lol.. well clearly it was pretty large but it did make for cute pictures 😆 Capers was a big fan, keep scrolling!

We ordered a Christmas Carmel cake (on the right) from Carolines Cakes in Spartanburg, for guests!

hot chocolate and mimosas

These cookies were fabulous!

A lady local to me made them! I’ve ordered cookies from her several times and she always does a fabulous job.

She can be found on Instagram: @goodcookiessc

Treats: breakfast danish, chicken minis, muffins, chex mix, berries, and gingerbread men

Capers’ favorites

Now let’s talk more party things

We celebrated with our families because that’s a little more Capers’ speed. He’s tender, laid back, and has always preferred low key!

This little tikes car was actually his birthday present from us, along with a name puzzle!

He’s a big fan of the car! ❤️

Nana

And I spy cousin Genevieve

The kids had fun playing all over the house! The ball pit was set- up in Capers room and a coloring table was set- up in the living room. The movie, Santa Claus played throughout the party!

Cake time!!

He lovedddd it!

He dove right in without hesitation.

Psst.. he came into the world wearing a Santa hat so it’s only fitting that he wears one for his very first birthday too!

His brother and cousins were encouraging him to eat it, lol! They were so sweet!

Fun fact about Brewer… he has loved every single minute celebrating Capers! He talked about his party for days leading up to it, saying he was so excited. He really is the best big brother to Capers!

Sweet baby!

Here’s a little video of us singing happy birthday!

After cake, here came Santa Claus!!

I wasn’t sure how Capers would do with Santa but he did awesome! Last year, he slept on Santa’s shoulder and this year he just gazed at him. 🥹

Our boys are big Santa fans!

We love Santa!

Susie girl has different thoughts about Santa! lol! Love these cutie cousins!

Santa sat right down with cousin Genevieve and Brewer to color! It was so sweet!!

After Santa left, we went outside. The kids had fun playing while everyone else sat around the back porch fire.

Capers had lots of uncles (& aunts not pictured) at his party!

Then, we went back inside to open presents. Capers scored two sets of wheels for his first birthday! It’s tradition that you get a push car from Nana for your first birthday! 🩵

After the party was over, it was time for the Clemson/ Carolina game! Daddy’s Carolina gamecocks taking home a win was the cherry on top of a great party day! 😉

We had the best time celebrating this sweet Christmas angel and are so grateful for family who helped us celebrate!

The sweetest merry little birthday party..

..for the sweetest baby boy!

Capers has been the best gift ever for our family! Truly.

I’ve linked lots of party things, here:

The next morning, we woke up to Capers’ official birthday!

We had lots of balloon fun

Brewer joined in!

The best gift these boys could ever have is each other!

Our sweet neighbor Mrs. Pam brought by blueberry birthday muffins. (Capers’ favorite)

We spent the morning in pajamas playing with new birthday toys around the Christmas tree, then he took a birthday nap.

After naps, we went to Build A Bear to make birthday bears for both of our little winter boys!

It’s a birthday tradition!

This face…. 😍

We came home, sang happy birthday once more, ate more cake, changed into our jammies, and snuggled these babies & their birthday bears!

We topped the night off with our birthday book tradition, “On the Night you were Born.”

Heaven played every trumpet and blew every horn on the wonderful, marvelous night you were born! 💫🎺

The day after his birthday, we took the blue cars & birthday bears for a spin.. walking in a winter wonderland! We love having another blue car in the fam!

I couldn’t love these bestie boy, winter bears more if I tried!

We had the best time celebrating this sweet baby!

It’s been a merry ONE for our “Christmas Capers.” ❤️

*I’ll be back on the blog next Tuesday!”
