Boo! 👻

We’re welcoming the month of October with our sweet 10 month pumpkin by flashlight & candle light! Plus lots of gratitude!! ✨🕯️🎃

What a month!! Capers really has been a dream come true! He’s super chill, he likes things to be “low key,” and has been a trooper through the past week of not having power!
Last Thursday/ Friday, we were hit with a bad storm- Hurricane Helene. We are currently “glamping” without power but doing well. We are making the most of it & even having some fun!
Our hearts are with our beloved Carolinas, and those facing lots of devastation, especially our beautiful mountains just 45 minutes from home.

I’m filled with gratitude that my family is safe and I’m still able to care for my family!
Today, I’m finding joy in blogging about Capers’ latest month and the blessings God has given us in our giggly little babe!

We began this month with a trip to IOP for Labor Day weekend.

Find more pictures from that trip, here!

We returned home and went to the NC Apple Festival on Labor Day- Monday!

It’s the little hand holding.. 🫶

Our blonde hair, blue eyed baby boy!

Being outside is instant joy.. whether we are rocking on the front porch or..

..going for walks around the meadow! Capers loves to be outside!

He’s always content while running errands with me! He’s now strong enough to ride in the buggy which makes running errands with two a lot easier. We love the new Target in town!

Capers loves his big brother, Brewer and Brewer loves him too! These two really are the best of friends!

It’s so special having two boys this fall, aka snuggle season!

These photos bring my heart joy. I love Capers and his brother so, so much!

Capers enjoys his weekday nursery class while mama is teaching!

Look at that happy face!

Chunky monkey!

We had lots of fall fun this month including a fall Friday night drive through the mountains and a stop at Sky Top Orchard.

Capers had a big game day this month where we were a house divided!

Daddy and his boys on college game day!

Capers continues to be a happy & smiley baby! He really does like for things to be simple.

He has the most fun with his brother!

We loved painting pumpkins on a September Saturday morning!

Fall looks good on you! Haha. #BabysFirstFall

Capers weighed exactly 21 pounds at his 9 month appointment this month!

We had a family fun night at Tryon Equestrian Center!

Capers amazes me by how chill he is when we go out and about. He’s just along for the ride and takes it all in!

I think he enjoyed the horse jumping show as much as we did!

He’s a mama’s boy 😉

He loves his puppy brothers. We also got a storm door this month and he is loving it! I had a feeling all the boys would love it.

Bath time is more fun with your brother!

Capers can now sit in the seat in the bathtub!
Bath time is one of his favorite things!

He follows Brewer everywhere!

He also likes to sneak into Brewer’s room.

We took a trip back to our happy place for the fall season- Jeter Mountain Farm! We brought Honey & Papa along with us.

Cutie!

Fun in the grass!

Baby’s first apple pickin’ adventure

Simple joys like this always seem to be his favorite!

Last Friday is when we lost power. We watched the rain pour and pour + the trees blowing. Capers didn’t skip a beat. He’s even had a little virus this week but you wouldn’t know it with content he is!

We escaped to my sister’s house for a couple of days this past weekend. He loves cousin Susie!

Talk about a full house.
We may not have power yet but we’re so grateful for family who have doors wide open for us, countless friends who have reached out & said bring the babies on over, and neighbors who lean on each other! 🫶

We’re making the most of glamping life! We have spent time at home in the dark and gone elsewhere when needed for things like hot water.
He has loved being outside strolling and chatting with neighbors a little extra this week!

More things that Capers loves:
-Being held! He crawls over to me all the time and reaches for me. It’s the sweetest thing! This baby loves to be held and cuddled. It makes my heart so happy!
-He’s learning how to pull up
-Dinner time is a favorite! He loves to eat // He also has two bottom teethies

Things Capers does not love:
-Speaking of teeth- he’s still teething off and on. That has been challenging! He’s pretty uncomfortable during those moments.
-He’s just our low key buddy! He doesn’t like a lot of loud noises, especially if we’re in an indoor space.
~
I’ll end today’s post with this sweet video:
The only thing matters.. having each other’s back 🩵🩵
Our hearts are with everyone with far greater needs and fighting to take care of their babies & families right now! Carolina, we love you.. 🫶 #HurricaneHelene
