Happy Wednesday!!
Insert Scotty McCreery’s song “here’s to the ride and fall of summer” for today’s blog post!
Today’s blog post is a summer 2024 rewind!
This was my first summer with TWO little rays of son•shine!! It was filled with lots of cuddles, all the sweet things, so much fun in the sun, and memories to last a lifetime!
This summer was very special to me. Not super relaxing at times but just SO. MUCH. FUN!
I dreamed of summers just like this one ❤
Let’s recap’s shall we…

Baby’s first summer!
My heart was so giddy having a new sweet baby to snuggle all summer long 🩵
We spent fun days outside and at the pool with friends.

We went on lots of ice-cream visits

And trips to get snow cones

Capers started eating all of the baby foods this summer and loves them all.

We went to Charlotte and had a water day with my sister and her little crew!

Brewer had so much fun with our garden at the beginning of summer. He helped plant and water the tomatoes + the blueberry bushes.

We actually planted the blueberry bushes two summers ago and we finally had some to pick this year! Brewer loves checking for berries that have turned blue.

We had a week in IOP as a family of 4!

IOP Summer 2024 as a Family of 4!

My sweet cousin Sara got married!

Haha, treasuring this!

I’m also treasuring all of the little moments on the back porch eating popsicles..

..and eating pizza for dinner on the front porch.

We took a big family vacay with my fam to 30A and had the best time! I love big family vacays.

After traveling for two weeks, the tomato garden wasn’t doing very well… so… we planted “donut seeds” instead! 😉 And Brewer has talked about it ever since. ❤️

We had a breakfast date at Chick Fil A one morning and went to the park after! It’s simple memories like these that make my heart so happy! Things like this mean a lot to Brewer too. He gets excited when he hears “we’re going inside a restaurant to eat!” I love having a sleeping baby tagging along too!

Brewer loved watching for lightning bugs this summer!

The big boys playing in a summer rainstorm!

Summers around the meadow are so simple and sweet!

We loved playdates to the park with Annie Beth, Tucker, and Emily!
Capers was at a perfect age to enjoy some fun summer things. He was 6-8 months throughout summer and he was able to swing at the park, learning how to sit up, and very aware of his surroundings to be entertained by the fun!

Eating popcorn while watching for sunsets became mine and Brewer’s thing this summer.

We saw lots of stunning sunsets too!

Lots of park days

Lots of driveway play

Capers loved his first summer!

We went to a local “trucks for tots” event with friends. These boys were in truck heaven!

This is childhood.. staying home and making a homemade tent inside!

Brewer completed two weeks of swimming lessons. Last summer, we did mommy & me lessons at the local Y. That was fun. This summer, he did one on one lessons and learned a lot of fundamental skills. We’ll be back next year! 🙂
Not pictured: Capers who tagged right a long and mostly napped during swim lessons or watched with enthusiasm.

Taking the boys out to Strawberry Hill is a summertime tradition.

We spent July 4th at the lake with Harry’s fam!

Brewer loved having his California cousin in town this summer! We made lots of memories together including running through the backyard splash pad.

Childhood is also a plastic pool in the backyard..

..and a turtle sandbox!

A fresh summer haircut at the barbershop

The best part of summer…

..was watching their bond continue to grow! Brewer has loved Capers since day one. This summer, Capers really started interacting with Brewer. He crawls to keep up with Brewer and he laughs out loud at him. They really have formed the neatest little bestie brother bond.

Nana spent several days here in town! We took her to storytelling at the library.

And we explored DT Greenville

I turned 33 this summer and the boys spoiled me rotten. (Seriously)

We spent my birthday at Jeter Mountain Farm.

Look who got to sit at the water table at the children’s museum this summer!!

When in downtown, stopping at Hub City scoops became a must.

We spent a Saturday as a family at a local splash pad.

Our sweet buddy Hughes had a birthday and Brewer had so much fun at his party!

My Papaw turned 80 this summer and we celebrated him with a big surprise party back home in Clover!

Lake days are the best days and clearly Brewer thought the lake needed more water. HA.

A lot of joy and a lot of cute boys!!

Emily, play dates just got more fun with all FOUR boys!

Big brothers!

Baby brothers!

One Sunday afternoon, these two washed Mama’s car.

I’m a lucky girl! 😉

These boys made it a summer to remember!

This past weekend, I saw the movie “It Ends with Us” with AnnaVee! It was sooo good and the book was even better! This was such a fun girls night out!

This past weekend, we also had a picnic by the water. We picked up Wades and took it to the lake by our house.

Brewer wanted to bring his binoculars!
“These are the moments, these are the memories, these are the summers, so let’s don’t let these hours and minutes, and seconds go to waste. Yeah, ‘cause these are the good days.” 🥰

I’m savoring these days with a baby and a toddler filled with all the sunshine memories!
A summer to remember… 💛
*I’ll be back on the blog tomorrow!*
