Tell All Tuesday: Back to School Traditions!

Happy Tuesday!!

It’s great to be back in blog world today! I love taking a week off to focus on my family and all things, back to school. It makes me extra excited to come back. I always rejuvenated after that week off!

For this month’s edition of, “Tell All Tuesday,” I am blogging about: back to school traditions!

Brewer attends a weekday church program while I’m teaching virtually during the school year! He’s been attending there with the same sweet group of friends since he was younger.

On Monday, he and his sweet friend group hopped over to the 3K room!

Now that it’s starting to feel more like “preschool,” we have started some fun “back to school” traditions that I hope will stick for years and years to come!

Last week, I also blogged some encouragement + motivation for all things, back to school!

Find that, here: Motivation Monday: Encouragment for a new school year!

Now, onto some fun little traditions!

Last Thursday, we had open house at school! It has sorta become a thing that we eat at a local restaurant called Taco Dog, the night of open house! We did this last year + again this year and now a tradition has been born!

I love having books for special occasions! This was our line- up for the night before school.

This 3K kiddo will always be my baby!

This is a new tradition that we started this year! The night before 3K, I told Brewer I would make him pancakes for breakfast. I asked him what color he wanted them to be and he said, blue!

It felt like magic was happening in our kitchen! Brewer was so excited, he wouldn’t eat his pancakes at home. He wanted to take them to school to show his friends, lol!

Front porch pictures are a must on the first day of school!

Nana bought him a new backpack + lunchbox! Toy Story of course 🙂 He was SO proud!

His first day of school board! These are such fun questions to ask littles. We started the back to school board last year 🙂

You have to have a picture with your brother too, right? Lol

Capers attends nursery while I’m teaching live classes- where Brewer goes and just like Brewer did as a baby! We don’t consider that school though. He just gets rocked & doted on by the sweetest ladies while mommy is teaching! 🙂

Brewer is officially on the “preschool wing.”

It’s extra special walking him in on the first day and taking those “first day pictures!”

Mommy & Daddy, of course 🙂

His sweet school had refreshments for families. It was a fun and special energy kind of morning!

After a fun first day, we came home and had treats while he told me alllll about his first day! Treats are a must on the first day, right?! Another fun tradition has been born.

It’s safe to say, he had a wonderful day!

I talked about this last week as well! It’s become a tradition that on the first day of school, we eat baked spaghetti for dinner. It’s easy, everyone in the family loves it, and now it’s something we look forward to on the first day of school!

Find the recipe, here!

And those are little things that we now treasure about “back to school!” I hope we are still making these sweet & silly memories when our boys go to high school in many, many years! 🙂

One more.. haha, along with telling us “Halloween,” he also told his teacher he would like to be an apple farmer when he grows up! So sweet!!

We’re so grateful for a school that our boys love and get to learn about Jesus’ love!

We’re looking forward to another great year with our school fam!

*I’ll be back on the blog, tomorrow!*
