Brewer is 3… and a half!

Today’s blog post is all about….

..Brewer!!!

Our Brew Brew is 3 and a half and boy, these toddler years are special! He’s learning & growing daily. I love blogging “quarterly updates” during these sweet toddler years!

I’m back here today to do just that, document what Brewer has been up to and learning these days, at age 3 and a half!

Brewer is silly, funny, wants to be adventurous, yet loves the simple life at home. He’s so sweet and loving, yet loves to be independent at times!

This age is a sweet & wild ride!

I love age 3.5 because I can talk to Brewer! We have lots of meaningful conversations. This particular moment is burned into my memory as Brewer and I went walking down the beach together, just the two of us. It was a special bonding time filled with lots of chitter chatter and splashing in the puddles.

I love that I can do things like this with Brewer!

He is an awesome big brother!!! He stepped into this role seamlessly.

He loves Capers so well! He helps take care of him, he plays with him, and Capers loves him too. He was meant to be, “big brother Brewer!”

He completed his first t-ball season back in the spring!

He blew our minds with how well he did at just age 3. He followed instructions, listened to coaches, and did really well with the sport itself too. Look at that sweet dirty face!

He even won his first game ball this season!

Fun fact: His coach actually gave him another game ball as a surprise one night as we were walking back to our car! His coach told him, he earned it & wanted him to have another one. He now has two special game balls in his room!

Here comes the independent side! lol. We make lots of messes around here.

He was super proud of his first ever trophy!

Brewer completed 2K in May! He loves his sweet little school at the local church with friends. We’re so proud of all that he learned this year, including numbers, shapes, and some letters. He also tackled potty training! He had his “ah ha” moment like most littles do at their own pace!

He loves to be outdoors and loved helping us in the garden this spring.

He loves looking for blueberries on our blueberry bushes too!

And when the tomato garden went south, we planted “donut seeds” and he has talked about this everyday since then! This will forever be burned into my memories too. 🫶

Brewer loves a good sweet treat, especially icecream- vanilla with sprinkles!

We found a turtle in our backyard recently and Brewer said, “he wants his mama.” He says this anytime we find a stray animal: turtles, deer, frogs. So sweet!

His love for big trucks still remains!

He is tractor, excavator, & truck obsessed.

He also loves his cars and lines them up daily!

He especially loves collecting the Disney Pixar cars. I usually buy him one when we take a Target trip!

Brewer plays with all the things, including: playdoh! He loves to make us “dinner” with his playdoh grill.

He had a ball during our two beach trips this summer! He loves the sand & water. He’s a very adventurous little boy who loves to go places! We love that because we’re big on making memories over here!

He did an awesome job with swim lessons this summer! He learned a lot of fundamental skills like learning to doggy paddle, jumping in the water and going under. We’ll be back next summer!

We had to celebrate swim lessons with a trip to pelicans!

He loves playing and using his imagination right here at home too! I introduced him to the movie, “the little rascals” this summer and I’ve been finding him just like this around the house. He’s putting out fires just the like kids do in the movie, lol. He even used a tape measure as his fire hose. I love how creative and imaginative he is!

Lately, he has requested to turn on the real hose pipe to “put out fires.” He even brings out his fireman hat! Lol, I love him!

He loves his cowboy boots! Sometimes he will say, “I want to be like woody.” Aka: wear his boots 🫶

Halloween pajamas and a tool belt, why not?

He has a special love for Halloween and Christmas! He knows that they are both just around the corner and he’s getting excited just like his parents 😉

He wears his tool belt often! Little country boy!

I catch him “reading” his Bible all on his own all the time. It makes my heart so happy 🤍

Look at that sweet haircut 🫶 He continues to do well at the barber shop. He doesn’t mind getting a haircut one bit!

He has a very special love for his Daddy. The way these two play together is a sight to be seen. Their bond is unmatched! Truly!

He loves his family too! He talks about each family member often and loves spending time with them, like his Nana.

This past weekend, we celebrated my Papaw at his 80th birthday party! He has always adored Papaw.

It’s been a special summer with Brew Brew and his brother! He loves looking for lightening bugs outside.

This will forever be the summer of front porch rocking and chasing sunsets together. This has been a special bonding thing for me and Brewer each night after baby brother goes to sleep. He always reminds me when it’s time to look for the sunset.

We usually pop popcorn and rock together on the porch while shouting “look there it is! It’s the sunset.”

He’s also grown to love the rain this summer.

We have loved every summer rainstorm that has come our way!

Haha. This weekend, our calm summer rainstorm turned into this! Goodness, I love these boys! I’m tucking this little memory in my heart to stay!

Brewer has pointed out every cotton candy sky..

..and every rainbow this summer too!

I treasure these days so, so much!!

More random facts about about our Brew Crew boy:

-He’s a picky eater. We have a small rotation list and this can be challenging.

-He continues to sleep well at night but lately, going to bed has been a challenge. He finds reasons to get up until he knows we are in bed too. Ha!

-He loves to say, “My mommy, my Daddy, my “papers”, Ace, & Nash.” 🩵

-He still calls Capers, “Papers” 🫶

-Lovies still go everywhere 🫶

Brewer, you bring us so much joy and fun!

I never, ever want to forget who you are at this sweet, precious age.

We love you so big!!

That wraps up today’s blog post!
