Happy Thursday!

Today, I am back on the blog to cover a bit of “this & that” from my birthday weekend!

It was a bit of sun, a bit of rain, and so much fun! I think this may just be my best birthday yet!

We started birthday weekend off with my mom in town! I actually blogged a “day in the life” post last Thursday. Catch that, here:

A Day in the Life

Friday morning, we explored downtown Greenville with my mom, aka Nana!

We went to Falls Park and popped by the Grand Bohemian Hotel! Highly recommend checking it out if you come to Greenville.

It was a beautiful day to be out exploring!

As we were heading to get lunch, we bumped into my brother in law, aka Uncle William. He had lunch with us at Cantina 76. This is a favorite spot for Mexican food in DT Greenville!

That afternoon, we headed home and I had a hair appointment.

I asked for warmer tones to mesh with my natural shade and Kristin (who does my hair) delivered! I’m loving the warmer tones!

That evening, the boys had a birthday weekend surprise!!!

It’s actually a birthday tradition for Harry & I! I have a summer birthday and Harry has a winter birthday, so we get cookie cakes twice a year for (mom & dad) birthdays!!

Brewer has talked about this cake for days! He was SO excited.

The boys did good! 😍 I’m a blessed girl!

Saturday, mom watched the boys so Harry & I could have a day date!

We went to our spot, Cribbs Kitchen!

We use to go here a lot more often before we had babies and talk about the future! During our “day date” we reflected on that and how we’re truly living out the things we use to pray for! I’m just really grateful. 🫶

After lunch, we spent the afternoon walking around town for a bit. We even popped into the merchandise store for our new hub city baseball team!! So excited for this!

Back at home that evening, I closed out my last day being 32, the best way I know how! We went strolling around the meadow. 32 brought me baby #2 and I’m so thankful!

That night, Harry and I got in bed and watched my favorite movie, Sweet Home Alabama!

Birthday morning!!

We were up early-ish, got ready, and off to officially turn 33…

…on top of the mountain at one of our very favorite places on earth, Jeter Mountain Farm!

It was also Caper’s first trip to Jeter Mountain!!

We explored the market first and had our first cider donuts this year!

Harry got a hat last season and we bought Brewer’s hat in the market that morning!

We love this place!

Rain or shine, it’s just a place that makes us feel alive.

The rain was off and on when we first arrived. Brewer had fun splashing in the puddles.

Harry & I have always loved the energy of the mountains, no matter the season or the weather! Feeding my baby overlooking the rain pouring down the mountains.. I’ll take it!

It really was pouring down there for a bit!

While it continued to rain, we listened to live bluegrass music, ate bbq, and once the skies were in the clear…

..we hopped on the tractor to go down to the fields and pick berries!

Brewer had the best time filling our berry basket!

These are the days!

It started raining again just as we were about to hop back on the tractor.

Harry kept saying, “this is our weather! So peaceful!” Fun fact: he proposed to me in the rain!

I could not have asked for a better birthday!

Psst.. An employee overheard that it was my birthday and they gave me my own bouquet of flowers! Just gave them to me!! SO sweet!!

This song happened to come on in the car on the way up the mountain and it felt like the perfect theme song for our day!

And this is 33! Best day ever! I hope that means a great year ahead! Thank you God for your blessings! 🥳

Celebrations continued Monday night! I went over to Emily’s house to watch the bachelor, it’s a Monday night ritual. She had the cutest little set- up for my birthday! She’s the best!!

Last night, I had a girls night out with two of my college besties, AnnaVee & Chelsea! We tried out sparkle city’s new restaurant, Islas on the Square. It was so good + a great atmosphere! Nights with those two are good for the soul!

I’m so grateful for all of the people God has placed in my life and I mean that from the deepest part of my heart! I reflect on that each birthday. A favorite part of my birthday is always hearing from people far & wide who have touched my heart + my life over the years!

Thank you for ALL of the sweet birthday wishes: calls, texts, voice texts, FaceTime, social media wishes, & sweet treats sent my way! It made my birthday! ILY!! I’m so grateful for each of you!! XO 🎉🫶
