Hey, Hey!!!
Happy FriYAY!!
I’m back today to share what a “day in the life” of us (summer edition) looks like!!
Y’all know the drill, for these posts, I pick a random day on the calendar ahead of time and see if plans arise, where the day takes us, etc. to capture a true “day in the life” of us!
Yesterday, Thursday, July 18th, I documented our day from start to finish!
Sit back & join us for a Thursday in the middle of summer:

We are on a summer alarm schedule around here. I set my alarm for 6 am, woke up around 6:30 am, and didn’t really get the day going until 7:00 am!
I was able to wake up, get ready, do my quiet time, and then…

Sweet babies were calling me!! I love them so much! The boys were awake around 8ish.
Yellow is your color my little son•shine!

Brewer loves to join me in Capers room in the mornings to greet him, good morning! It’s the sweetest thing.

Breakfast time!

Look at that sweet yogurt face!

Then, Brewer was ready to play! He loves lining up his cars every single day, whether it’s along the back of the couch, the ottoman, etc.
Next, Nana arrived to spend the day with us!! My mom & Mike are in Greenville for a few days and we’re excited!! 😍

We took the boys to the library in Inman for storytelling!

This boy had SO much fun!!

I love these summer memories we’re making!

We listened to stories, sang songs, danced, played, made a craft, & looked at books!

Sweet boys!! Capers had fun too! His eyes were glowing with excitement just watching all of the fun. Literally.

The boys sure do love their Nana!

Brewer is holding his little bookmark craft that he made.

Storytelling made a sweet & fun morning out!

Then, we took the boys to Target to pick up a few things!

When Nana comes to town…. Haha, look who talked Nana into buying him more cars for his Disney car collection! #spoiled
Don’t worry, Nana bought Capers his first little Mickey plush! Can we go back to Disney now? Lol. They sure do love having her in town.

We picked up lunch on the way home at Delightful Dishes. Seriously, they have the best sandwiches ever!
I put the baby down for a nap. Typically, Brewer would take a nap during this time too but Nana was here and he wasn’t tired, so…

We went outside to play!

Funny story… I introduced Brewer to the little rascals movie about a week ago. Ever since then he’s been obsessed with “putting out fires.” Lol, he uses the tape measure for his fire hose. He even brought out his fire fighter hat!

Then, he asked if I would turn on the real hose pipe!

I sent this picture to Harry at work and told him, Brewer was watering the rose bushes. Lol

Then, Nana headed back to Greenville. Meanwhile, baby was still napping, and I could tell Brewer was slowing down because usually he does nap everyday. He laid with me on the couch and we turned on a movie to rest. Nash (& Elmo) joined us!

A bit later, Capers woke up and shortly after that, Harry was home!! Cheez it’s anyone?
We were all kinda full from lunch. We made a light dinner- left over chicken paprika & rice, then went for an evening walk!

Goodness, this view never gets old. I love where we live!

There were so many baby calves out this day!

These evening walks to see the “cow cows” make my heart so happy!

On the way home, we got caught in the rain!

It honestly was amazing, lol. A perfect way to end a summer day, getting caught in the rain! 🫶

Then, I noticed a rainbow over our house! The summer views have been incredible this year.

Thank you God for another beautiful view from home!

And thank you Lord for front porch hangin’ with my forever first born! It’s become our thing lately to sit on the porch at night and look for sunsets.

We got the boys ready for bed. I rocked the baby to sleep and Harry read with Brewer & put him to sleep.
Then, I showered, washed my hair, started blow drying my hair, and look who showed up! Lol, anytime Ace hears the hairdryer he comes and sits next to me. He loves the hair dryer!! It’s his favorite part of getting a bath. haha!
After that, we called it a night and we were in bed shortly after!
That my friends, is a “day in the life” of us, summer style! I pray I never forget simple days just like this one.
~
It’s birthday weekend friends! I’m so excited! I’m off to celebrate turning 33! Yay! 🩷
*I’ll be back here next Thursday!*
