Family of 4 this July 4th!

Hello, Hello!! Happy Saturday!

I hope everyone had an amazing July 4th on Thursday and I hope celebrations are still going strong throughout the weekend!

Harry had the week of the 4th off work! The college gives him this week off each summer and we are always so appreciative of that. We did lots of fun family things throughout the week and today I’m here to recap it all!

Plus, it was this little nugget’s first July 4th!!

Let’s talk about how we celebrated and spent our July 4th week!

Last Friday afternoon, Harry began his week off for the July 4th holiday! We spent the evening at home, playing in the driveway with the boys.

Days like this are my favorite!

Saturday, Harry began a big yard project. He planted 17 rose bushes in the backyard! We already had 2 rose bushes in the corner of the yard and they’ve done so well. So, we thought, why not do an entire row of them along this fence line! So we did! 🩷

We also did some crafting with baby feeties 🫶

Our garden out back wasn’t doing very well after traveling + lack of rain, so Brewer thought of something better to plant. Haha, he and I planted donut seeds Saturday evening!

He was SO excited on Sunday morning! Watch the video for gardening 101 😉

This is a memory I’ll hang onto forever with my sweet Brewer! He was SO excited and has talked about this ever since!

On Monday, we took the boys to the park- Happy Hollow, our favorite!

Best friends forever 🩵

It’s been such a fun summer for these two! Capers has been at a sweet age and able to enjoy some fun summer things with Brewer, like swinging at the park. ☀️

Monday night, Harry held the fort down at home while I went to dinner with some mom friends!

Tuesday, we took the boys out to Strawberry Hill.

Country cuties! Capers is thinking, “when do I get to sit on the tractor?” Haha.

So.

Much.

Fun.

Strawberry Hill’s homemade icecream flavors are the best!

❤️🤍🩵

On the way home, I turned to the backseat and saw this. Someone had fun!!

Wednesday morning sweetness!

We had a slow “July 4th Eve” here at home!

Fireworks in the neighborhood started that night! I love our little neighborhood out in the country.

July 4th!!

We started the morning baking and dancing in the kitchen with my little kitchen helpers.

We made red, white, & blue pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, & whip cream.

Shop our kitchen toddler tower!

We also made a peach cobbler with our peaches from Strawberry Hill that morning to take to the lake! 🤍

Baby you’re a firework! #MadeInAmerica

I made this side by side of the boys:

Left: Brewer Right: Capers

Same outfit, 3 years apart 🫶

I love these sweet American boys!

brothers 🩵

We spent the 4th at the lake with the fam!

Everyone loves Uncle Robby

The sweetest picture

These sweet cousins had the best time together.

We played in the water, the boys fired up the grill, and we enjoyed the day with family in town!

That night, we made it home, rocked the baby to sleep, made a snack for the porch, and enjoyed another firework show in the neighborhood!

Brewer loved it and was really into the fireworks this year!

This is my favorite thing about the 4th, watching fireworks from our driveway & front porch. It just makes me happy! It’s always something I look forward to each year! 🥰

Friday, family who were in town came over to our house!

We had a water day in the backyard!

Brewer loves when his cutie California cousin, Ines comes to town!

That evening, we had a summer rainstorm and I look up from the back porch to this, a double rainbow!!

The sky quickly turned into a cotton candy sky. Brewer loves chasing sunsets these days. He looks for them every night and he was really excited about this one! Toddlers are so fun!

We went from cotton candy sky to this just moments later. Completely unfiltered. Thank you Jesus for this view from home!

This is a photo I snapped of the rose bushes Harry planted throughout the week and it hit me! He planted 17 rose bushes to go with our other 2 that were already in the ground, which makes 19. That’s a favorite number for us because we got married the 19th of December. Hopefully that will bring good luck for plant survival in this heat, lol. Thanks babe for accomplishing this task on your week off! You’re the best. 🫶

Here’s a sweet little reel I put together to recap the week!

It’s been a great week! I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!! We’re going to have a slow Saturday before heading to celebrate my sweet father in love at his retirement party tonight!

~

I’ll be back in blog world on Monday!
