HelloOoOoOo!
I always miss blogging when I take time off for vacation during the summer! I’m SO excited to be back today and recap our big family vacay in 30A!

Last week, we spent an entire week in Santa Rosa, Florida with my fam and had the most amazing time!!
Let me explain 30A. Haha! Most of you get it but I still get some confused looks when that term is used. 30A is highway that runs through and hugs all the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, which is where we were! Specifically, we were in Santa Rosa beach + we did lots of fun things all throughout 30A!
The blue water, late night swimming, porch hanging, amazing food, cute shops, chasing babies, and all the family time made for the best trip!
Let’s get into all the details… 🩵

We left for the beach on Father’s Day, so we gave Harry his Father’s Day present here at home on Saturday: updated family photos for his office, swimming trunks, candy, and a homemade card! (Brewer decorated the inside!)

Also on Saturday, the day before we left for the beach, Brewer received a new book in the mail from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. This book could not be more fitting! We took it with us on our trip!

We left for Florida at 5:30 AM on Father’s Day! Wow.. look at the sunrise!

First stop: Dunkin! Happy Father’s Day to the best of the best of the best! Harry is an “old soul” and cares about the simple things in life: a green pasture, a good meal, Carolina football, & raising good ole boys! I love this man!

30A! Hello Santa Rosa! Home for the week!
The boys did awesome in the car driving down! It’s about a 7.5 hour drive. We made 3 stops total! (Including one stop in the middle of nowhere Alabama, HA!)

After we arrived, we stopped to see the beautiful blue water, then we grabbed a late lunch/ early dinner while waiting to check into the house!
We went to, Local Catch Bar & Grill in Santa Rosa with half of the fam who had also arrived! This place was super chill & laid back. Thank goodness, because we had kiddos who were starting to get tired.
Cheers to vacay! The drinks & mahi tacos were amazing. Great way to begin our vacay in Santa Rosa!

After we finished up at Local Catch, the entire family made it into town and we checked in at the cutest Airbnb for the week!

Seriously, this house was awesome!

We had a big group and plenty of space to spread out! Our house was about a 2 minute golf cart ride to the beach!

Sunday evening, we hung out at the house, by the pool & the covered porch! Thanks for being our chauffeur on Father’s Day, now you can relax!
This was our favorite thing to do at night too, especially after kiddos were tucked in bed!

Monday, we woke up ready for our first beach day!

The blue water was so beautiful!

Even the sand was fluffier!

I’ve had these swim attire pieces for a while.

These cutie cousins were so happy to be at the beach!

Smiles from everyone

Capers loves his Nana!

Best beach day!

Ever!

Naps after a beach day hit different! Haha.

We traded off cooking at the house each night with the fam so we could all do date nights!

Monday night, Harry & I had a date night. Thanks fam!

We went to Bud & Alleys in Santa Rosa! Several people recommended this place and it did not disappoint.

We had a reservation but the rooftop was first come first serve. We got lucky and Harry was able to snag us seats on the rooftop! 😍

Dinner with a beach view, yes please!

Harry & I both had the catch of the day, grouper. It was ahhhhmazing!

During dinner, the fam sent me this pic! My baby brother holding my baby 🤍

Fun night out with my love!

After dinner, we walked along the beach!

There were lots of vendors and cute shops near the restaurant. It’s a fun spot for Santa Rosa!

Tuesday morning sweetness!

We spent the beach day splashing + building sand castles

Tuesday night, Harry & I made dinner at the house while some others went out for dinner!

Wednesday morning sweetness. Susie girl loves her some baby Capers!

Look at them!

We took a morning golf cart ride. The neighborhood we were in was so cute!

The girls headed to brunch.

We went over to Rosemary beach! This is a busier area but SO beautiful! Look at this adorable hotel.

We had a brunch reservation at Pescado! It was delish! I had the brisket Benedict and we each added on a lemon blueberry pancake. Not pictured but SO YUM!

Sister, sister!

Mama dear!

After brunch, we walked around the shops in Rosemary! Such a fun time with my girlies!

The guys kept the kiddos while we did brunch..

..and then we switched!

I mean…. ❤️

Cousin Eleanor and baby Capers! She loves helping take care of him. It’s so sweet!

After we switched, the guys went out! Harry & my brother in law went to Luke Bryan’s Cigar lounge. Harry raved about this place! The rest of the guys went golfing!

The girls got all of the kiddos ready and had a pool day ☀️

Capers loved his baby floatie. He’s already turning into a fish. We were amazed by how much he was kicking in the water!

The best photo we could get of 4 kids lol

After the pool, it was bath time for all of the cousins
Once babies were in bed, we had another night by the pool + porch hangin’

Thursday morning

Goodness, I love them!

We headed back to the beach. Brewer & Eleanor are like besties! They have always had the sweetest bond. We see that same bond developing with the Susie and Capers. I love that our boys have these girlies to grow up with!

Capers is really content on the beach. He took lots of naps in the baby dome with the fan going!

I even got some reading done on the beach this day!
We had great weather all week: mostly sunny, overcast at times, + a few rain showers here & there. It never got too hot! It was perfect!

Post beach cuteness

I love that all of Brewer’s clothes get passed down to Capers. I have a sweet memory of Brewer wearing this same little lighthouse outfit at the beach 🥹

That night, Nana & Papaw Mike watched the kiddos while Harry, Ashley, Logan, and I rode the golf cart to dinner.

We went to Stinky’s Fish Camp and it was worth the hype, lol. It’s very casual dining and we were able to snag bar seating.
Oysters were so yum (and this is coming from someone who doesn’t typically eat oysters)

I had a shrimp angel hair pasta dish that was so YUM!
We ate our way through 30A this week 😂
Not pictured, after we got back to the house, everyone had a craving for desert so Harry & I took the golf cart, drove back to Stinkys, and got desert for everyone lol.

Friday morning view!

Back to the beach!

Fun fact: neither of our boys have ever cared for a paci, just those sweet whittle thumbs

I snapped this photo of the boys // my step brother + two younger brothers

I could watch this sweet boy nap forever

Friday night, the whole fam went to the top recommended place that everyone told us to visit: Old Florida Fish House
It was also worth the hype! It’s a cool atmosphere and the food was delish.

Harry & I split a sushi app

And I had the mardi gra pasta for dinner. It had shrimp, scallops, sausage, and veggies over noodles. SO GOOD!
Harry & I agreed that we didn’t have a bad meal the entire time we were there. Everything was SO, SO yummy! We are big on seafood when we’re at the coast and Santa Rosa/ 30A seafood was perfection.

After dinner, the whole fam went down to the beach for an evening beach walk + see the sunset + take a few pics!

My golden hour 💛

It’s been surreal having another sweet beach baby to hold this summer.

Everyone loves Nana!

Nana & Papaw with all of the grands

Vacay week with my people was one for the books!
We could not be more proud of this giggly, six month baby. He handled beach week in Florida seamlessly. We always find ourselves saying.. “where did you come from?!” Thank you Jesus for this sweet addition to our family!
Our sweet Capers, he really is a coastal baby!

Saturday was our last day! We had a pool party day.

And the guys fired up the grill to make flank steak + local country boil

We ended the trip by going out for ice-cream. We took the kiddos to Pecan Jacks Ice-cream in 30A.
Lots of questions about this dress when I shared a story on instagram! It came from my friend’s local boutique in town: Southern Charm Gifts

The ice-cream shop was yum as well!

That face…. 🫶

Sunday morning, we headed home. We left Florida around 6 AM, made a few stops, and were home by mid afternoon!

I walked away from family vacay week with a heart so full of memories! Best. Week. Ever!
The coast really is one of our happy places!
I highly recommend a vacay at some point to the Gulf of Mexico! 30A is beautiful and so full of life!
~
I didn’t blog an actual “Fab Friday” post this month because there were too many other fun things to blog about. Instead, I included all of the things I currently find fabulous (beach edition) in today’s post!
*I’ll be back here tomorrow too! Yep, on a Saturday! 😍*
