IOP Summer 2024 as a family of 4!

HeLlOoOoOo!!

I am back from IOP and here to recap our trip with you all!

This is also sort of like a “two in one” post because I’m going to be including some “what I wore Wednesday” things in here as well!

Isle of Palms is so special to us. We took a weekend trip to IOP as a family of 4, back in March. Find that, here:

Baby’s First Beach Trip

It was so fun being back last week to experience *summer* on IOP as a family of 4!

Find outfit details, here!

We headed out Sunday around lunch time! Both boys napped the entire way there. It’s only 3 hours from home. I love how close we are to Charleston and all of the beaches there!

We arrived that afternoon at the ole’ family beach house! #CoastalBaby

We unpacked and immediately went to see the beach! It’s the little handhold with my first born!

Hello IOP

Find Brewer’s outfit, here!

IOP sure looks good on you, haha.

We were in regular clothes because after seeing the water… we were heading to get dinner!

Poes Tavern, YUM (iykyk)

It’s located on Sullivan’s Island, about 7ish minutes from IOP!

After dinner, we stopped at Harris Teeter! Harry ran in to grab some things while I stayed with the boys in the car. While waiting, Brewer said, “look mommy! A sunset!” 🥹

Monday morning, Harry went to the little French cafe (our fav) on IOP and brought us back almond croissants. They were delish!

Then, we headed out for our first, “beach day!”

Brewers favorite beach toy this trip were these dump trucks! Lol #boymom

I can’t believe I have a new sweet beach baby to hold this year!

Thank you, Jesus!

Beach day 1 consisted of playing with trucks, building sand castles, wagon rides, beach naps for baby, and splashing in the ocean!

It was a great day!

The boys nap at the same time now, so Harry & I continue the tradition of trading off beach time while they nap! I’ll go to the beach for an hour and then, he goes to the beach for an hour!

Beach week tradition is making low country boil for dinner! The best!!

And there’s something about making ice cream cones at the beach and hanging out on the porch!

After dinner, we went for an evening beach stroll. I have a picture of Brewer in this same outfit, his first summer at the beach!

And just like Brewer, Capers doesn’t care for a paci. He prefers that sweet little thumb.

Tuesday morning, I woke up and did a quick Target run for some things we needed. Brewer collects these little cars from the Disney Pixar movie, Cars. When I go to Target, I like to pick him up one as a surprise! This Target trip, I tried to find a car that we don’t normally see at our local Target back home! He was so excited!

I came back to the house and did my quiet time on the screened in porch.

Then, we headed out for beach day 2! This was our beach set- up for the week.

I love them!

Capers handled the beach SO well this week! Never fussy on the beach, like ever.

Our limit was to stay two hours with him in the shade the entire time before heading back to the house for lunch and naps.

Angel baby!

That evening after dinner (low country boil left overs 😋) we went for another evening beach walk!

My Brew Brew

These boys melt me! I wonder if Capers is pointing at a boat in the ocean? Lol

I linked lots of baby/ toddler boy clothes for summer, here!

Rise & shine! Happy Wednesday! Both boys slept well while we were away. Brewer sleeps with us when we travel and Capers sleeps in the pack & play!

Wednesday morning, Brewer and I went for a walk to our favorite little beach nook! Brewer loves walking under the bridge.

We see dolphins in this area! We saw two that morning. You can also see the Charleston bridge from here, aka the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge! We love this spot!!

Brewer splashed in every puddle along the way and threw rocks in the water.

I love my sun kissed & hazel eyed baby boy!

Harry’s mom, aka Honey, came into town on Wednesday! She came to spend time with all of us and also give Capers a beach break. He stayed in the AC on this day!

Mom & Dad also got a date night! Thanks, Honey!

We went to High Thyme on Sullivans Island!

So yum!

Thursday morning, we went for an early morning beach stroll!

It was so special having Capers with us this summer because he was named after this very coast that means so much to us! Truly, our little Christmas & Coastal Capers ❤

We had another fun beach day! We had the best weather!! So grateful for that! It wasn’t too hot + there was a nice breeze most days. Maybe because we went early this summer?!

Honey cooked salmon for dinner for everyone. She’s the best! Then, we went for a little stroll around the neighborhood in IOP.

Porch nights at the beach are the best!

Friday morning, taking it easy! Love these boys of mine so much!

We got ready and headed out for one more beach day with Honey!

It was special having her join us this trip!

We spent the morning on the beach, cleaned up, loaded up the car, & headed back home!

Beach week video recap!

Such a special week that we will always cherish!

On the way home, we stopped because Brewer needed to potty. This is a new thing now that he’s potty trained and wearing big boy undies. We decided to go ahead and get dinner at Chick Fil A and I caught the sweetest interaction on video of these two! Brother besties are the best!

~

And that wraps up today’s blog post! I linked the clothing items that I could link but if you see something that’s not linked, it was probably purchased at a local store or I’ve had it for a long time!

I’ll be back here, tomorrow!
