Baby’s First Beach Trip!

Hello friends!!

I hope y’all are having a great week! I’m adjusting to being back at work this week. My maternity leave ended and Harry is beginning paternity leave for a few weeks!

This past weekend before my maternity leave ended, we took a trip to our happy place for a little spring weekend getaway + it was Capers’ first beach trip!

Walking with our sweet baby on the beach for the first time, along with big brother Brewer, was a memory that we will always treasure! I’m excited to recap the weekend on the blog, today! Plus, I’ll link lots of things we used and took with us on the trip!

We left for Isle of Palms beach, (located in Charleston), Friday afternoon!

Both boys slept the 3 hour car ride there 🙌

We got in right as it was getting dark! Hawaiian pizza for the win, haha.

Brewer sleeps with us when we travel and Capers slept in the snuggle me/ pack & play. He’s sleeping great these days!

The next morning, I moved him to our bed. We woke up to a cozy, rainy morning at the beach. It was raining pretty hard. That called for lots of snuggles with all the boys!

When the rain stopped, me and this cutie headed down to the beach!

Throwing sticks in the water!

I love my forever first born boy and my time with just him!

It was a bit windy for Capers to be on the beach this first day. So, Harry & I traded off and then he went down to the beach. Meanwhile, I rocked Capers on the screened in porch swing!

Moments like this are my favorite 🤍

That afternoon, we ventured out of the house!

I bought these pants in a set for winter. I’m loving them as a transition for spring too!

The trees in Charleston are soooo pretty!!

We did some shopping in Mt. Pleasant and somehow, we always land at the book store when we’re in town!

We bought the boys some new books including this one for Capers’ Easter basket!

Happy times!

We had dinner at our favorite spot on IOP, Acme Cantina! We go here just about every time we are in town.

After dinner, we stopped by Harris Teeter. Harry ran in to grab a few things we needed. Meanwhile, Capers got fussy in the backseat, so I crawled back there, changed his diaper, and played with my two boys while we waited!

Sunday morning was beautiful!!

Quiet time at the beach just hits different!

Devotion Books

I went by the local Target while the boys were still waking up. I needed to get a baby wrap because I left ours at home.

I also found pajamas for Capers and spring clothes for Brewer!

Baby & Toddler Boy Clothes

We had some porch time that morning! The portable baby swing is a lifesaver. Capers loves his swing these days so it’s nice having one to take on the go!

Shortly after, we headed down to the beach!

This was Capers first time seeing the ocean 🩵

I’m also loving the baby wrap I found that morning! The mist color is my favorite!

Baby boy Brewer loves the beach!!! Rain, shine, hot, or cold, lol!

He had fun playing in the sand and water!

Capers was content the entire time…

Walking down the beach put him right to sleep!

I love being mommy to these two sweet boys!

My whole world.

Brewer is such a good big brother and already trying to teach Capers all the |waves| of the beach! I can’t wait to see all the beach memories these two will make together in years to come!

It was extra special introducing Capers to the coast of Charleston because this is where he gets his name sake!

That evening after we came off the beach, we hung around the house and prepped dinner!

When in the low country, we make low country boil! This is tradition.

Little brother watching big brother play (always) before bedtime!

Monday morning, Harry went out to grab breakfast for us at a local French cafe that we love!

Then, we headed out for our last beach day!

I find the beach to be so calming in spring & fall!

Truly soaking in all the memories of having my 3 month old baby on the beach with us!

Brewer ran through the sand, splashed in the water, and he even climbed the sand dunes haha

This trip got us so excited for all things spring & summer ahead!

Monday afternoon, we headed back home with very full hearts!

Baby’s first beach trip was one that we will always remember!
