Happy Leap Day!!!
February 29th! Y’all, I had a teacher in high school who told us on the first day of school, “I’m 8 years old, figure it out.” I had no idea what she meant but her birthday fell on leap year day! So technically she would have been 32, which is exactly how old I am now. I always think of that story when I think of leap year!
Today, I am blogging this month’s edition of “This & That Thursday.”

Let’s see what we’ve been up to..
Starting with..
This week: so many sweet little faces!!

On Sunday, we were with family celebrating birthdays! My sister had a birthday over the weekend and my mom’s birthday is tomorrow!
Susie girl is smitten with her new cousin! Capers is like her real life baby doll!

I’ve been soaking in this newborn sweetness!

And Brewer had his first ever storybook character day! Look at that cutie patootie!! He refused the whiskers and nose face drawings lol.
Looking forward to: SPRING!

We have been going on so many walks lately and I’ve been feeding baby outside on the porch! We are ready for spring, all the outdoor fun, and all of the pretty colors! Bring it on!
Currently Dreading: yep! It’s happening..

I have started my spring cleaning, purging, deep cleaning, and really tiding things up. While it feels amazing once it’s finished, I’m dreading cleaning those baseboards around my house.
Reminiscing on: Speaking of storybook character day above..

It had me reminiscing on all of the storybook character days over the years! I always looked forward to this day when I was teaching in the classroom. Such fun memories!
Watching/ Reading: Let’s talk bachelor…

This season is making a comeback for this franchise! From what I’m hearing, ratings are back up significantly and I’m hearing all positive things surrounding this season.
I read spoilers and I know people say “why do you watch if you read spoilers.” It’s actually more entertaining that way lol. My friend Emily would agree with me. You just watch it with a different eye + spoilers are not always correct! It just brings another level of entertainment.

Reading… I am reading this devotional every single day! It’s sooooo good!! If you’re looking for biblical encouragement each day, this devotional is great for everyone, no matter what stage of life you’re in!
Find it, here: New Morning Mercies
Aside from that, I finished the book “Dear Carolina.” It took me a bit but I really did love it. Now, I’m looking for my next monthly book. If you have any light/ fun/ spring book recommendations, send them my way!
Listening to: two things..

This podcast! We are mid season in bachelor world and I’m loving all of the guest appearances on the podcast from current contestants on the show. It’s fun to hear all of the behind the scene stuff!

This song… oh my word! I’ve listened to Scotty McCreery’s new single, “Love like this” too many times to count. Every single lyric is so good. It melts this mama heart!
What’s on the Menu: Let’s talk something simple that has been in rotation here over the past few weeks..

Grilled chicken Caesar salad. So simple and so yum!! Also just a good simple spring meal! Add it to your dinner option list for next week ❤
I’m loving: My family and being a mommy of 2!

This is my happiest, happiest season of life! It’s a season I have always dreamed of. I love being a mommy more than anything in the entire world!

Baby giggles!

Brotherly love!
Bible Verse: Ephesians 4:7

I’ve been reading a lot about grace and what grace really means in my devotional lately. (Find my devotional above!)
Grace is such a beautiful gift from the Lord. He showed us the ultimate form of grace with Jesus on the cross. He continues to give us grace freely each and every day through forgiveness & walking this life with us.
Because of that, we need to give each other (& ourselves) grace too! Don’t let “grace” just be a word but truly, let it have meaning. It’s so beautiful!

That wraps up, This & That Thursday
