Oh, hi! It’s me and my little fam!

Hello blog readers!!

Today’s post is some what different from all the others!

It dawned on me recently that I haven’t “introduced myself” here on the blog in a while. Or maybe since the beginning of time? Lol. I don’t think I’ve given a detailed introduction since the beginning of my blogging days.

Most of you have been reading my blog for years, follow me on social media, or know me in person. But I know there are some blog readers who haven’t been reading my blog all of these years and maybe just started following along in recent time.

If you are a “newer” blog reader, today’s post is for you! I’m reintroducing myself and my little fam. This will help catch things up to speed if you’re still wondering who we are, where we’re from, what we do, etc!

Here’s a fun little video before we get started:

So here we go! It’s the beginning of a new year, let me tell you about my fam! Enjoy XO

Hi! I’m Kristen. I’m 32 and I started this happy little corner of the internet when I turned 25. So I’ve been blogging now for 7 years.

The biggest part of me is my relationship with Jesus! I came to know Jesus when I was in high school and my life was forever changed.

I started blogging because I wanted a creative outlet and I thought this would be a good place to hopefully be a light for Jesus. I’ve always loved writing + overall, I’m at extrovert. I love sharing things I love with others! And that is how “Kristen Cochran Blog” became a thing! This space feels like a fun digital scrapbook.

I blog all things faith related, decor, holidays, ideas, fashion, things I love, being a mom, a wife, traditions, and my little family life. My purpose is for my blog to feel encouraging and be a light for Jesus no matter what I’m talking about. Life can be hard and I want this to be a happy, joyful, and uplifting space to enter into throughout the week.

I grew up in a small town called Clover. It’s about 30 minutes south of Charlotte. My dad passed away about 2 years ago and that was a lot to go through. I’m very close with my mom (+ my step dad) and siblings. I’m one of 4 siblings + I have a step brother, so technically one of 5 siblings.

I moved to Spartanburg for college and basically never left. I met my husband and best friend Harry, who is born and raised in Spartanburg. We met while we were in college at an off campus, apartment complex. I worked in the leasing office and I leased Harry his very first apartment! The rest is history…

We have been married for 8 years. We have two baby boys, Brewer (3) and Capers (infant).

These boys are my entire world! I love being a wife and mommy more than anything in the entire world.

I always knew I wanted to make a career out of teaching. I got my bachelors degree & my masters degree in early childhood education. I taught in the classroom for 6 years. Then I had my first baby and I transitioned to teaching virtually.

I teach for a virtual SC public school and I love it! It allows me to put my family first while still being able to have a career.

My husband works in higher education at a local college as the associate director of admissions.

Harry & I are both family oriented. He also comes from a big family. He is one of 6 siblings. We love spending time with our families. Big families keep things fun because there’s always something to celebrate! It’s so important for us to do life with family and friends. We know God intends for us to do life with others! Plus, I’ve always considered myself a people person and Harry is too!

We lead a pretty simple life around here in our family of 4 but it’s a special one to us. We love all of the simple things: being outdoors, going to the park, doing life with others, making the holidays fun, soaking up the seasons, and truly striving to live each day to the fullest by filling the days with fun, love, and simple joys!

Let’s be friends!

And that is an overview of who we are incase you’re |newer| to the blog!
