Second Trimester Recap!!

Wow!!!

Today starts third trimester!!

Wow! Wow! Wow!

This pregnancy is flying by!

I really think it feels that way because with Brewer, I was pregnant in two calendar years! We went through the holidays and I still had an entire month before he arrived late January.

This time around there’s a baby between now and Christmas!! Let’s hope he’s here by then, anyway!

Once September rolls around and we have holidays on the brain, Christmas seems so close! Which means baby is sooooo close!

I can’t wait to be holding my Christmas gift so soon! I really get emotional thinking about it. I love the Christmas season so much and I can’t believe we get a BABY as a gift this year!

This baby was prayed for and prayed for!

We can’t wait to have another son and give Brewer a brother. I just know all 3 of us are going to be so smitten!

Now, it’s time to recap second trimester!

Second trimester really started off so easy!

I was nauseas first trimester but never actually sick. And once all of that went away, I felt great!

I had energy. I wasn’t in any pain or discomfort. It was wonderful! Second trimester really is the best!

While pregnant with Brewer, I started having back pain + abdominal pain pretty early on. It goes beyond the normal growing aches of pregnancy. We looked at a couple of things it could be but all came up negative. So I just suffered through it. Ha. All so worth it!

I actually met with my doctor prior to becoming pregnant this time to talk about that issue and things we could do if it resurfaced.

This time around, I actually thought I was in the clear because of how great I was feeling. About 2-3 weeks ago, that same back pain/ abdominal pain came back. It hasn’t been as intense as it was with Brewer but it’s still there and it hurts!

Once it came back, I reached out to my doctor. We actually think I have something called ACNES- anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome. Basically, my nerves are being pressed against my skin and it causes cramping, burning sensations, and just pain, like the pain of having pinched nerves.

My doctor has been wonderful at helping me get relief through the right & safe medicine.

So that has been the toughest part of pregnancy!

It is all SO worth it!

Everyday, I am so grateful to be pregnant. And baby continues to look great at every appointment!

I’ve been told he’s measuring on the larger side (84th percentile at my anatomy scan) but that’s not surprising. Lol, Brewer was a pretty big baby too!

I’m so grateful for a healthy, growing baby boy!

We are working on his nursery, planning all of the fun things, and soaking up these sweet fall memories with our Brew Brew before he becomes a big brother this Christmas season!

My heart truly can not contain itself! I’m just so excited to have two boys- brothers & best friends for life!
