This & That Thursday

Happy Friday Eve!!!

There is so much to get to on this month’s edition of, This & That Thursday!

We are in full on summer mode over here and having so much fun! I’ve also had some weird pregnancy symptoms this week. All of that and more is in today’s post!

So without further ado, let’s get to our line- up:

This Week: We have been having all the summer fun around here! This week, we went to Clover to spend the day. My mom & I pulled Brewer and my niece, Eleanor in the wagon, over to the local splash pad! They had a blast! They have the sweetest bond too! Both say each other’s names daily!

Another day this week, we went exploring in Rutherfordton to see my bestie girl, Emily’s new town! We played in the backyard, went to a park, a splash pad, and had lunch/ icecream at a cute local diner! Our boys, Brewer & Judson are always the sweetest little bestie boys when they’re together!

We also went to storytelling at the library with our favorites, Jessica and Eli! The boys had fun watching a story time puppet show + playing around the library! These boys have such a sweet bond! Look at that hug! They melt me.

Looking Forward to: We find out the gender of baby #2 SO soon!!! We are SO excited to find out! It’s been fun not knowing but it’s going to be more fun when we know & can start planning all the things! 🙂

Currently Dreading: More like… what was dreadful this week!! Y’all I remember having minor headaches with Brewer but never ever like I experienced this week. I had an intense migraine come on one day that lasted 24 hours. Nothing I did was helping! It was miserable! It started in my forehead, moved behind my eyes, to the back of my head. I thought my head was going to explode. My doctor recommended something for me to take and I started feeling so much better! And even still… I’m thankful for all of these wild symptoms! It just means these baby hormones are working. I’m really hoping those migraines do not return!

Reminiscing On: Aww!! This is Brewer when I was about 30 weeks pregnant! All of these upcoming doctor appointments for baby #2, have me reminiscing on just how special they all were with our baby, boy Brewer! Look at that sweet little face!

Watching/ Reading: Kristy Woodson Harvey is one of my favorite authors! If you’re looking for a light summer read, her books are your go to! Her book, “Dear Carolina” will not disappointing! It’s about family, adoption, love, it’s southern… it’s all you could ask for in a fluffy, summer read! I’m currently reading it now!

Check it out, here: Dear Carolina

Listening to: Y’all know I love, Carrie Underwood. She has added some new singles to her album, “Denim and Rhinestones.” I’m loving all of the new releases, especially this one, “Take me Out.” Give it a listen and you’ll probably be hooked too!

What’s on the Menu: I love a good summer salad or just summer meals in general! This Cobb salad I made this week was so yummy! We’ve also had buffalo chicken paninis this week, and a protein infused pasta salad that was perfect by itself for dinner! Basically, I’m finding Pinterest recipes, etc and tweaking them to my liking! 🙂

I’m loving: On yesterday’s blog post, I talked all about skorts! They are the perfect transition for me while starting to get a baby bump. My regular shorts are getting tight but these skorts are so comfy & stretchy. I’ll be able to wear them for years to come!

Check them out, here: Stylish Summer Skorts

Weekend Vibes: We can’t wait to celebrate this guy all weekend long! Harry is the best, “DaDa” any kid could ever dream of OR that any wife could imagine for her kids! Brewer lights up when Harry walks in a room! Their bond is so silly & fun. It’s full of laughter and love! Harry deserves to be celebrated all weekend long! We can’t wait to do all of his favorite things for Fathers Day!

Bible Verse: Let me leave y’all with a goodie! This verse could not be any more true! He always has our best intentions in mind, always, always, always! You can find joy by having faith in Him alone!

~

Happy Father’s Day weekend to all of the amazing dad’s out there! If this weekend is hard for you, I’m so sorry! I’ve been there. Just know that you are so loved by your Heavenly Father!

*I’ll be back on the blog, next Tuesday!*
